I stayed in one of the renovated rooms on the upper level (tucked in the corner, which was absolutely my style!). Well-appointed and beautiful room, large bathroom and shower, plenty of space, comfortable bed and lots of breezes. Breakfast every morning was delicious as always. Fresh purified water in the room each day (I drink a lot of water). Staff was attentive and friendly. I was only able to stay 3 days due to my work constraints, but would have loved to spend a week or more!
Casa de cafe is excellent. Clean, comfortable and well priced rooms situated within a charming courtyard (even managed to save us from the classic Central American sounds of dogs barking in the night). The breakfast is actually spectacular. The best brekkie that we’ve had whilst travelling. Iguana Azul next door is also great, we spent our first two nights in the Studio attached (very kindly provided with a free upgrade after a booking.com related glitch in the matrix). Copan Ruinas itself is lovely with plenty to see and do nearby, Casa De Cafe served as the perfect accommodation. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Alex and Olivia U.K.
La casa de cafe is one of the premier hotels in copan. My stay was excellent. Large showers, excellent breakfast, and comfortable beds. The owner was nice and upgraded us from the hostal room to this hotel room. The courtyard is very quaint.
Due to the neighbor full booked, we end up in La Casa de Cafe and we were lucky. This place is very nice, clean, with hot shower, well organised and the people working there is taking care of all you need. The highlight is the bred they baked everyday, not only is sprayed a beautiful smell all around but it taste delicious. Thanks for everything
Yes. If there is such a thing, we discovered it at this charming B & B. We had originally booked at the sister property located more central in town. After voicing our concerns about potential street noise, Howard, the owner, was very accommodating. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The food is delicious. All locally sourced and grown. The staff is friendly and courteous. I highly recommend for a relaxing stay.
Food was delicious and had a view overlooking the mountains at sunset :) The waitress was respectful. The cafe is 10 feet walk next to the rooms. The cafe is peaceful because it is situated on a bluff on the outside of town overlooking the mountains. A short 1km walk or moto taxi into town.. perfect!
This was my first time staying here after they finished the renovations. It is just as beautiful as before with the bedrooms and lobby area seemingly bigger. The bed is really comfortable, everything is clean, the service is great, the breakfast is great. It's a great place to come and relax. The only negative thing is that from the bedrooms you can hear everything that is going on outside. This would only really be a problem if you are trying to sleep in when guests were coming for breakfast. Overall, the place is quiet and peaceful. I look forward to returning again soon.
Why worry about a safe and worry free place to stay in Copan Ruinas, Honduras when you can stay at Casa de Cafe where your rooms and apartments are airy, spacious and with plenty of hot water. Whether you are initiating a survey of places to visit in Honduras or narrowing down your search for accommodations to hang your hat, a stay at Casa de Cafe brings with it a trouble free and pleasant stay where the breakfasts are served on a newly constructed patio overlooking a floral garden complete with a chorus of singing birds and a chain of nearby mountains as your backdrop. A multicolored breakfast of several kinds of fruits in season are a colorful palette sure to delight your senses and the accompanying main entrees are prepared to your liking by the excellent staff who will serve you. Sr. Howard has developed an oasis in Copan Ruinas and if it is not yet on your travel radar, it should be. Copan Ruinas places you in the forefront of a rural, safe and peaceful Honduran town against the backdrop of the Southern most Mayan civilization and center of Science and Culture. Surely this town will captivate you as it did this writer who had planned to visit for just a night and lingered for 2 weeks. You may surely find yourself returning over and over again because of its charm and intimacy. Copan Ruinas and Casa de Cafe are a great dual for your exploration of Honduras and a trouble and worry free place to serve as your home base while in this part of Honduras. Check it out. I did and have been returning ever since.…
I went to Casa de Cafe to relax and unwind, the place looks great and very peaceful and have a good cup of coffee and enjoy a great sunset. It has been renovated and the rooms are more spacious and now has more space to sleep and relax more. When you get there just relax and enjoy.
We stayed twice in 2 years (January 2019 and 2020) at Casa de Cafe in Copan and thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times. It was very relaxing to gather in the courtyard of the hotel with a glass of wine in the evening -- great ambiance, good food, wonderful hospitality and a great location for a short walk to the downtown area. When you go, make sure you don't leave without buying some of their coffee to take home with you -- excellent coffee!
