We arrived at the hotel on April 20 with good expectations. Unfortunately the room we were given did not remotely resemble the pictures on the website. It was a hostel room not a hotel room. Small, cramped, and right on the main walkway so there would be no privacy whatsoever. There was not even room for both our suitcases. Although at a glance it seemed clean we were not in the room 3 minutes so I won't confirm that. We moved across the street to a different property. I wouldn't stay at this hostel.
The hotel is a very nice Hotel with private rooms and bathrooms and a very large packing lot for our vehicles free coffee in the morning And is with in a walking distance from all the restaurants and gifts Shop's
Very good basic accommodation with private bathroom, hot water, fan (Copan Ruins is nice weather at night so for me AC it is not a major), small TV with Cable, very safe, very well located ( half block from Central Park),very clean and even have a Parking lot in case you have a car. Lobby employees are very nice (as most of Copan lovely People), and even have free coffee. If you do not want to spend much on accommodation, are traveling on a budget or do not want a Hotel with pool and amenities, but a clean decent place to sleep, shower and use as a base camp, I definitely recommend this hotel.
This is a very nice, centrally located hotel, just half a block from the main plaza of Copan Ruinas. The rooms are clean and beds very comfortable, though the rooms are very small. It is a good value though. But what really stood out to me about this hotel was the very friendly and helpful staff. I was staying here with my 18 month old son, and the staff was nice enough to loan us their office fan so he could be more comfortable in the Canicula heat. Luis also really helped me out, I had asked if I could check out a bit late because our shuttle back to Antigua was scheduled for 14:00 - according to my ticket. Well, he called around and it came to be that this was most certainly an error, and we was actually supposed to leave at 12! I'd give the hotel itself four stars, but the fantastic, friendly, and helpful staff definitely bump it up to five.…
My family and I stayed here last week when we were in Copan to see the ruins. It is right in the centro of Copan. Perfect location and the rooms are very clean. Beds are comfortable and serves its purpose for when your in Copan. The price also is great for $38 a night including tax. Management is great and went out of his way to help us in any thing we needed. I highly recommend this hotel.
Helpful staff, close to everything, if you want a clean room in a safe hotel without frills to break a budget- this is a nice place. The staff allowed me to travel 4 hours after checkout to keep my key and bags safe, at no extra cost. It was very quiet.
There are plenty hotels and hostels in Copan, yet I always stay at La Posada (if there's space available). It's *very* affordable, comfortable and safe. The staff is incredibly polite and it has a lovely garden. The WIFI works and they have coffee for the guests. But aside from all those things, the location is great. It's 20 steps away from the Café Welchez where they serve THE BEST breakfast in town; take five more steps and boom, you're at the central park. Trust me, you won't regret it. Of course, it's not luxurious, but did you travel to Copan to stay in the room or to explore an ancient mayan city?
I stayed here for two nights while visiting the ruins. and it was a pleasant and nice hotel for a few nights. I only had one criticism which was when I was there in the morning around 8am a lady entered my room without knocking and asked me if i was at the pool the night before. It struck me as odd and she never explained nor apologized. Overall though the location and cleanliness and comfort were good for the time spent.
Perfect option for budgets. Less than half a block from central plaza. The place is clean, rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. No A/C, only ceiling fans. Windows have screens and outside shutters only, so audio privacy is not completely tight. Bathrooms are clean. Good water pressure. Showers have hot water! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, gave us good tips. Do not expect more than what's necessary for an overnight stay after visiting the ruins, and you won't be dissapointed. Able to walk around town and come back as often as we needed to because it's so conveniently located.
We stayed in this hotel for one night only. Has free internet ,they give you voucher for free breakfest that is serve in restaurant next to this hotel.Room was big and nice with air conditioner and hot water. Free wifi in the lobby only. Close to everything as Copan is not that big. Would stay there again.
