Having been spooky at my last hotel with hot water, I was shocked at how cold the showers were here. With no chance of hot water. The hotel is located at the top of a VERY steep hill - so beware! There isn't much to do in Copan as it is a small town but there is the opportunity to...

We spent a couple of nights here whilst touring with Intrepid and found it very acceptable. The bathroom was dated (not out of place in Central America) but clean, as was our room. The ceiling fan was efficient and quiet enough to be left on all night - the noise from the nearby chickens was far more of a nuisance!...

The room at the Calle Real was fine and the shower had hot water. There is a lovely little bar area outside where you can help yourself to beer or water as long as you promise to pay for it when you leave, the breakfast menu was basic but filling. There is a nice balcony area with hammocks comfortable enough...

Up a steep hill and just outside of the town center, this place is probably the worst option in town. It's truly a budget option. Most of the fixtures and fittings in my room were either broken or didn't work. You can get some very basic food in the scruffy courtyard

Stayed 2 nights as part of tour. Located up a steep hill as others have mentioned. Room is basic. Complimentary drinking water near reception. WiFi near reception only. OK for short stay. Passing note - 6 of our tour group had their cards skimmed & probably all occurred in Copan.

This hotel is in a good location. It is up the top of a steep hill but a bit of exercise hurt no one! It is close to the town and the local bird sanctuary (definitely worth a visit!). Wifi was good but only if you sat in the foyer. Food options very limited but what they served was nice...

Well maintained little hostel, clean rooms and bathrooms along with a nice hammock balcony above. The only downside is the hill that you have to climb to get there. It's only a few blocks, but it is a pretty brutal incline - you'll earn your night's sleep.

Great basic standard hotel with good size rooms, comfortable beds, big bathrooms with hot water. A couple of blocks from the Centre of town and an easy walk to the ruins. Staff helpful but surly. Offers great value for money.

Basic type hotel near middle of town. Its on hillside above the town. Easy going down to town but hike back up to the hotel. WiFi only near reception area. Small eating area was nice and cheap and run by friendly ladies. Rooms seemed to all have fans and it was not too hot. Upstairs has nice Chill Out area...

This is a fairly basic but clean hotel. We were in one of the "downstairs" rooms and it was quite dark. As others have mentioned the hotel is up a steep hill away from the main street, which made for an easy walk into town, but a slower one back. Not too difficult but perhaps not suitable for an unfit...

“The rooms at the back are, I think, a little nicer than the rooms by the road and on the side (partly because they seem newer and are not as stuffy or damp.) I was in room 21 which had two beds. The room had a ceiling fan but no air-conditioning. It was comfortable, nevertheless.”
