Always felt safe here. As a visitor to Honduras I know it's not the safest place to come, but I always felt safe inside Hotel Maya. Internet worked well in the breakfast area and in the lobby, but was spotty in the rooms. I had breakfast here 6 days and evening meals also, the food was perfect. Very filling and...

I've been to Honduras 6 times and stayed here every time! This is a comfortable place to stay, with good food, clean rooms, and an authentic Honduras Feel. The service is great and the staff is friendly, and many of them speak enough English to communicate. This is not as modern as other hotels, but its a great place and...

It's not flashy, or as up to the minute as others...but the staff is wonderful . The rooms are clean , the restaurant is local food predominantly with a worldy update. Always pleasant service. Only complaint is breakfast ends at 10:30 even on the weekend.

The hotel itself is a little bit old but the restaurant and rooms are nice. I requested a king bed room but they ended up giving me a double bed which I would have not preferred but it was OK. If you want to leave at night make sure you call a cab to pick you up at the entrance,...

In summary it was a good stay. We had issues with our room key not opening our door that was problematic but handled well by the front desk with assistance from the bell stand letting us into our room. The bed was comfortable and the pillows in excellent condition. Coffee maker in the room with a packet of Honduran coffee....

3.5 stars. Location was ok for us. Walkable to some tourist restaurants. Breakfast buffet was ok, I liked the scrambled eggs (not soupy or runny) and the spice bread. The rest of the pastry table was very dry. Papaya and fruit was fresh. Coffee is ok, not the best. Bar is nice to sit out, but weak drinks!! The room...

The hotel is modern with a lot of amenities. The room was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. However, occasionally the Internet was slow, but that was the only problem. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices of fruits and hot food. In addition, the restaurant is really good although the prices are a...

I was here for a rotary conference. The food served was rather mediocre and there were lots of small annoyances. Not enough hot water in the morning for example. To go anywhere in the elevator you had to use your room key for security, fine, but often it wouldn't read the card or by the time you swiped the card...

After our week-long medical mission in the rural hills of Honduras we spent our final night at the Maya. It was pure comfort. My room was spotlessly clean. The bed was possibly the most comfortable I had ever experienced. The Maya offered everything we desired, including pool and hot tub (both quite well cared for). A substantial breakfast buffet was...
