OK, the positive: 1. good water pressure in the shower. 2. clean sheets. 3. (Most important) Pet friendly. Negative: 1. There for 3 nights and no wi fi til last night there, and reported to front desk 3 times. 2. Front desk; college students who seemed very intimidated by any approach or feedback. Previous yrs desk reception was more professional....

I'm deeply sorry to hear about your most recent stay with us, mcrba. This is not the norm for us. I'm glad we were at least able to provide you with clean sheets and a room for yourself and your furry companion. I am personally attending to each issue you mentioned so that it does not happen with our other...

They're under construction but that didn't bother me since the rooms aren't under construction. It's a new building they're erecting. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the service was impeccable

5 Star. The rooms were clean, smelled good to. The beds were fresh and cozy. There were some work being done on the place but nothing that got in our way. The only issue we did have was with the parking. Had to walk so far to get to and from the room. The staff was nice. I would consider...

I am basing this review solely off customer service from the manager, Tripp. There was a booking mishap between hotels.com and Best Western. Tripp called me and attempted to rectify the situation. We went back and forth a few times but ultimately he upheld and compensated us for the mix up. We ultimately had to cancel our reservation due to...

KOwens269, I want to personally thank you for your glowing review. I would have hated for you to show up to our property just to find out that you didn't have a place to stay. Needless to say, I felt as if I had an obligation to rectify this situation since it involved our property. Give us a call next...

The room was between shabby and sordid ( a heavily stained armchair and chipped paint everywhere). The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. The staff were friendly. As you have to walk to the street and up the hill to have breakfast a shortcut from the motel to the front desk would be very helpful, especially in bad weather.

I appreciate your feedback, travellingsenior2016. I would like to express my condolences regarding the issues you experienced in your room. As for the breakfast location, it is only temporary while we expand our property. Soon there will not be a small hike to the front lobby from the rooms. We hope to see you again!

Part of the hotel is under construction. A new tower is being built where it appeared the pool and other amenities used to be. The rooms were about a block away from the office. We were greeted by an unfriendly person who asked us nothing. After putting all of our luggage into our room, we found that the toilet did...

Thank you for the feedback, Margaret S! I'm truly sorry about the subpar experience you had at our hotel. I promise you this is not the norm. The major renovations we are undergoing have caused us many problems and believe me, we can't wait for it to be done with. We hope you'll give us another chance in the future....

Nothing like spending $499 a night in a soon-to-be demolished filthy, outdated dump of a hotel room. Best Western should be ashamed of themselves. This may do it for me as far as the brand is concerned. I get that chains jack up the price for football weekends but this is just wrong. They have clearly just let this place...

TrippMoore170, Manager at BEST WESTERN Athens, responded to this review

625chandrap, I understand your frustration. Unfortunately, the rate reflected what the demand was in Athens the night you were here. This is not our usual rate. Being in an SEC college town on the night of the biggest game one would expect the rate to go up. Granted, it was much higher than you expected. Also, on our website, it...

Got a room at the last minute for UGA game. Knew it was a motel and was alright with that. Room had an odor, but not too bad. Obviously renovated recently which was nice. Walking around the property due to construction is not great, but understandable. There are nicer places in Athens, but the this was good for the price.

We recently stayed at the best western hotel in Athens, Georgia, on our way to Navarre, Florida. Hotel rooms were at a premium due to the hurricane in Florida.
