The wine is very good, there's a sweet cat who hung out around our patio, and the little lake and path were lovely. There were ants in the window of our first cabin so we called down and told them, a girl came about 20-30 minutes later and moved us to the cabin next door. There were ants in that...

We went to hidden lake winery for a quick retreat. They had a winter special for $99/night for a cabin. The cabins are amazing. They aren't huge but very cozy and have everything you need for a romantic or just relaxing retreat. The wine is great. If you are looking for a place to get married, this place is very...

If you are looking for a place to escape from the city for the weekend - this is it! Cute cabins in wooded seclusion. Stayed in honeymoon cabin - hubby took advantage of the heart shaped jacuzzi. Ample room, good sized bathroom and lovely walk to winery for tastings and a meal. Only concerns are better reading lights for bedtime...

My husband and I have now had two romantic getaways to the Silent Forest Retreat Cabins. Once was for an anniversary celebration, and the other was a get away from it all Wednesday. The cabins are lovely. The heating/cooling unit is effective, albeit loud. I don't like the lack of counter space in the bathroom. And those are my only...

The first time I took my wife to Hidden Lake Winery, she didn't have a clue to where we were heading. On the way to this hidden gem, there is nothing but farmland (corn crops galore). All of a sudden you land into this enchanted area. The ambiance is great. The cabins are cozy and inviting for quick romantic weekend...

We stayed in one of the honeymoon cabins last month at the Aviston Hidden Lake Winery. I would of given this an excellent rating except for a few shortfalls I'll touch on in a bit. There were 2 couples in our group, all of us in the late 40's to early 60's range in age. Check in was easy, our...

Without our GPS, I think we might still be looking for Hidden Lake Winery. We didn't really get to enjoy the grounds, since the weather was not user-friendly the 2 nights we were there. The cabins are very well designed and well-kept. The lights are on switches like I had never seen, and we had to go back to the...

Great room...nice brunch...live music in wine garden. Favorite item....the "James Taylor" sounding musician during breakfast-brunch..so relaxing and lovely. Could have stayed all day just listening to him. Wonderful country setting with nice evening restaurant and morning brunch on Sundays. Personnel were all friendly and courteous. Would return...only draw back...small kitten using our porch rug for you know what.

My husband and I were wanting a get-away close to home this was the perfect trip..We started our trip by visiting the Okawville Original Springs Spa which is about 20 min away..I highly recommend doing this to add some relaxation to your trip. We are not big wine drinkers so we mainly went for the cabins. We started out in...

My wife and I were in the area for a family reunion when we happened onto the winery. I checked the reviews on TA and decided to stay for one night during the long 4th of July weekend. Location: East of St. Louis just south of Trenton. The cabin was a deluxe and very nice with a great bed and...
