I have chosen many times this 3-stars hotel of Algiers city for following reasons: 1. Its very good location - between boulevards Didouche Mourad and Mohamed V-th, near the buildings of the University of Algiers and a new metro station, in the midtown of Algiers (not far from Grande Poste and Algiers Harbour) 2. Its easy accessibility by foot and... More

This hotel is in the European quarter. It offered reservation confirmation for my visa and within walking distance of all sights. The staff were very first class and even sorted out a casbah tour with a guide who I think was from the hotel. He was a genuine, decent fellow as was everyone else I encountered in Algeria. This for... More

I stayed for 6 days. The weather had just unexpectedly turned cold, which meant the hotel was cold for the first could of days until they got the heating running. The first thing to say is that this is a very old hotel, dating back to the French colonial time. It has not changed much since then. If you like... More

This hotel well situated in the heart of Algiers gives you all the comfort you need from breakfast to lunch and diner with Algerian and other dishes. The rooms are specious with air-co, TV and wireless internet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The inconvenient issue is that it can be sometimes noisy as there are ongoing works in the... More

hotel suisse is a small hotel well located in the city centre of algiers. its staff is friendly, the rooms are ok (size, cleanliness) though things are generally not in very good shape (curtains, cupboards, tv, etc.). wifi is for free and is quite fast. the surroundings can be noisy because of traffic and mosques around. breakfast is good, so... The hotel is quite cheap compared to other hotels in the Capital. The hotel is not the worst and you will actually have good value for your money here compared to other hotels here. The staff are nice enough and tried to help. The breakfast is typical Frech. A small croissant and a cup of coffe. Not quite enough for... More

We really enjoyed our time at Hotel Suisse. The front desk staff is incredibly friendly and helpful - very responsive and always willing to help. They arranged a great tour of the Casbah for us, the laundry service was quick, cheap and excellent, and we were always greeted with a smile. The rooms are quite nice, though it is clear... More

The staff was very nice and the exteriour of the hotel newly renovated but it couldn't make up for the horribly bad (not renovated) room I got and the even more poor breakfast in the mornings. Maybe people who are used to have a small croissant and a cup of coffee/tea to breakfast are ok with it but I wasn't.... More

I spent just over a week at the Hotel Suisse. As a woman travelling alone on business, I was a bit apprehensive about my first visit to Algiers. Staying at this hotel has been a very positive experience. The staff are very professional and helpful. The rooms are old-fashioned but spotlessly clean. The chambermaids also provide an excellent and very... More

I stayed for two nights at Hotel Suisse in March 2011 as a solo female business traveller. Their wifi connection was excellent and the room spotless. The decor was nothing to write home about but the room had everything you needed. It was well-heated (the winter is cold) and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful with booking taxis,...
