Bring back the old charm of old Paris, small hotel, adequately sized room, friendly staff and good food. Two small elevator function efficently. Near to the shopping district and the grand post office. Also near to the MRT station (Tafourah).

I enjoyed my time at the Albert hotel. It's conveniently located in downtown Algiers near La Grande Poste, and many restaurants. They have a nice little bar in this hotel. The rooms are decent, and I had WiFi in my room.

We spent a total of three nights here as part of a group tour of Roman sites in north-east Algeria. Each member of staff was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. For our first two nights we had a small, but comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the bay and the small park extending down to the...

We stayed at this hotel for three nights because of the closeness to places we wanted to visit. I think in a place like Algiers where traffic is so incredible and cars do not stop for pedestrians unless one walks in front of them. The closer one is to where one needs to be the better. The hotel needs a...

This wonderful, but old building is the perfect hotel if you need to see the city of Algiers. Closely to the sea, you can watch from your balcony, this is the place to explore the beautiful neighbourhood. Friendly staff, simple rooms but nice views. Basic breakfast.

We like to stay in local hotels. This hotel met the bill. When you walk into the tiled entryway, the gentleman at the desk hovers over a large book filled with reservations. Old clunky keys. We had an enormous room with fine AC. The hotel is worse for wear, but you definitely feel the local culture. Amazing terrace view of...

We had reserved this hotel by internet, and presented the receipt (voucher) for the room at our arrival, but the reception desk refused it saying they had no contract wiht the agency. it was through "beds-on-line", or something like this, anyway, we had to pay a second time for the room which was still available. OK, but what is not...

Well-maintained middle range hotel from a past age. Excellent location in the heart of the city, overlooking the terraced gardens which run down to the Grand Poste. Rooms small and old-fashioned, the ones on the lower floors less prone to neighbour noise (see review below). Staff efficient and correct. Pleasant unpretentious restaurant on the first floor with standard Algerian dishes...

Spent a week there along with two work colleagues. I loved that it was an authentic inn, not a typical international chain. The service is very friendly. Rooms are tiny by Canadian standards, but perfectly fine. I loved the marble, tiles and mosaics, as well as the photos of old Algiers. I agree with others that the hotel could use...
