This small Riad is located in the middle of the Medina. The highlight is the Terrasse which is overlooking the area. The four rooms are nicely and individually renovated. Achmed, a staff member, looked very well after us, knows the Medina by hart and makes sure that you find your way around. And if somebody get's lost in the tiny... More

I didn't stay at Dar Gnaoua, but as I was lost in the old city and asked a stranger for my way, it turned out that it was the owner of Dar Gnaoua, who took the time to show me the riad, offer me water, give me a map and advice as to what to see and how to avoid... More

I booked this hotel for 2 nights and extended to 6. I wanted to enjoy the medina but also have the calm to work and rest. Ahmed and Laurent were incredibly accommodating and generous. I especially loved spending time taking in the vast view from the terrace and being around such a tastefully decorated and carefully preserved historic jewel. Very... More

My Partner and I absolutely loved our stay at Dar Gnaoua!! Ahmed was there to meet us when the transfer car dropped us off just outside of Bab R'cif and showed us the way to the Riad pointing out the signs on the way so that we would not get lost when we went out by ourselves! We went into... More

We arrived from our long journey from Mergouza and were met be Ahmed at the taxi stand. He arranged for our luggage to be taken to the Riad and personally walked us to the Riad, showing us along the way several landmarks that would be invaluable. The property is well restored and esthetically pleasing. We had booked two rooms (triple... More

We came stressed to Dar Gnaoua – and left totally relaxed. Achmed and Rachid are probably the most friendly Moroccains we met on our trip. They were really helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is tasty and the rooms vary from sweet to romantic dreams. The old house itself is perfectly renovated and the inner design more than tasteful. The view... More

Dar Gnaoua is a wonderful place. It has been restored with impeccable taste, and prices are very reasonable. We had the lovely room at the top of the house, looking out to the terrace. Breakfast was delicious, as was the dinner we had one night on the terrace. Laurence is a great host, and Ahmed was wonderfully helpful and kind.

We booked this Riad for 1 night last minute based on the rave reviews of the place. Whilst Ahmed was incredibly sweet and tried to accomadate us as much as possible, the Riad was absolutely freezing. The aircon heater did not function properly and none of our group had a very good sleep that night. The Riad is also quite... More

I can't recommend this place enough; it is gorgeous and the staff are very friendly. They make you feel at home, you can use the kitchen if you like yet it is like you are lounging in a restored palace. The riad is traditional and very beautiful, they spent 2 years restoring it. The owner Laurence and the staff bend... More
