Dar Gnaoua is a wonderful place. It has been restored with impeccable taste, and prices are very reasonable. We had the lovely room at the top of the house, looking out to the terrace. Breakfast was delicious, as was the dinner we had one night on the terrace. Laurence is a great host, and Ahmed was wonderfully helpful and kind.

We booked this Riad for 1 night last minute based on the rave reviews of the place. Whilst Ahmed was incredibly sweet and tried to accomadate us as much as possible, the Riad was absolutely freezing. The aircon heater did not function properly and none of our group had a very good sleep that night. The Riad is also quite...

I can't recommend this place enough; it is gorgeous and the staff are very friendly. They make you feel at home, you can use the kitchen if you like yet it is like you are lounging in a restored palace. The riad is traditional and very beautiful, they spent 2 years restoring it. The owner Laurence and the staff bend...

The house is absolutely beautiful; recently renovated in the traditional style, with intricate mosaics, stucco and painted cedar. The beds were comfortable, the showers hot, everything was spotlessly clean and we had everything we could need. Laurence and Ahmed are very generous hosts and made us feel so at home. Their advice and help really set us up for the...

The riad is located a five minute walk outside the busy shops in the medina. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, and helped us find our way through the medina maze. We stayed in the top floor which has three big windows to the city and roof terrace. There's two problems with that: 1. People on the roof terrace...

We had a very pleasant stay at dar gnaoua. The dar itself is at very good location, close to good restaurant locations and souk, its beautifully decorated, we had the menzeh suite which is a very nice, clean room and comfortable with its own bathroom. The dar has an amazing view over the medina day and night. The breakfast which...

Very beautiful place for staying, people are nice, we met Ahmet and Laurence that speak both French and English, and know perfectly the city. The dar (typical house) is composed of 4-5 matrimonial rooms, that are clean and we'll furbished. The price is absolutely correct for the service, and you will enjoy a beautiful breakfast in terrace on top, with...

I can not fault Dar Gnaoua in any way. The hosting was exceptional, we were met on arrival and shown all the routes we'd need to get to R'Cif and the main streets, this makes such a difference in a maze-like city such as Fez (friends in a nearby Riad were just given a small map and told 'good luck!')....

We really enjoyed our stay in a nice and spacious double room at the top of a historic building with beautiful details and furniture. Hidden gem! Great terrace where we had a delicious breakfast with fresh orange juice and a spectacular view over the Medina. Situated in the old Medina and near to the tourist attractions and small restaurants with...

My husband and I spent a night at Dar Gnaoua in March, 2015 and absolutely loved it. The riad is charming, authentic and beautifully ornate. The building was recently renovated so that its beauty has been restored to its full splendor, and it feels historic but also fresh and clean (not old or run down). We stayed in the room...
