We stayed in this riad as a "budget" option for 4 nights before travelling to Marrakesh and spending a few days in a more expensive and "luxurious" riad there. I have to say the difference between the two was very small considering the €60 per night price difference, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Dar Tamo. It is...

We spent one night in Dar Tamo Riad. It's not too easy to find, but people in the Medina are friendly and willing to help. There is only one room (the most expensive one, of course!) with A/C and windows opening to the outside. All other rooms have windows opening to the indoor patio. Furniture show the age, the washroom...

We have been to Fes many times and have stayed at Riad Dar Tamo on more than one occasion. Dar Tamo is in a great location; situated in the heart of the Andalucian Quarter yet tucked away in a quiet side road, it is within 15 minutes walk from the busy main roads Talaa Sgira and Talaa Kbira so near...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in July. It's owned/managed by a moroccan/french couple. In general (and by the end of our stay) we decided they're both decent people...however, the moroccan guy comes off as arrogant at times and was snippy with us for deciding not to go with his (overpriced) contact for our desert trek. So...

We didnt reserve a room, but took a chance and followed directions to Dar Tamo in the wee hours in the morning. Abdel was so nice to let us view a room on the second floor, and we were given an early 'check-in' without any additional charge. We were even given free breakfast when we came down! We had a...

Having been to Morocco and Fez several times and stayed in variety of good and bad places, Dar Tamo is a perfect place to start a trip in Morocco. Close enough to everything for convenience yet also just hidden down enough tiny alleys to feel truly secluded and private. A sanctuary from the fun of the souks, we literally had...

What we found good was the position of this Riad, that you can reach easily from the main Door of the city, since it's very well marked. First of all, we suggest not to choose the room "Patio": it's located on the ground floor, close to the entrance of the Hotel and close to the TV, so we couldn't sleep...

The Riad itself is nice the breakfast was yummy but the hotel have a strong musty smell, the bed was very uncomfortable. The owner (Laurence) and the female staff was very friendly and hospitable except for the male owner was very rude and very violent especially in the airport transfer, was a terrible experience

“If one cares for window opening to the outside and/or A/C in the room, should book the most expensive room on the top of the stairs. This room gives also the most privacy.”

“Be prepared to hear the morning Call to Prayer loud and clear in the Terrace Room from Karouine and other mosques. On the first morning (5.30) it nearly blew the socks off my feet. Take ear plugs. Be warned, there is a Muezzin who waits until everyone else has finished their Call to Prayer and everyone has gone back to sleep and then blasts his voice into that microphone for all to hear. If you weren't awake before, you certainly will be then.”
