Superb architecture, wonderful staff, outstanding breakfasts, and a sense of oasis and retreat all make for a first-class Fez experience. We stayed six nights in the ground-floor Makarbas Suite. One past TripAdvisor review commented on the lack of privacy of this room, and it is true that if the (gorgeous) doors are left open everyone can look or even walk...

I can't say enough about our experience at Riad Idrissy: we arrive late in the evening from Casablanca. The staff arranged to have us picked up at the train station and we fell in love as soon as we walked through the Ruined Garden restaurant and had tea in the courtyard. We extended our stay as soon as we arrived:...

We spent two lovely nights at the Riad Idrissy on a recent adventure in Morocco. It is a beautiful, old building inside the medina. This means you cannot drive in and a porter will need to come for your bags (unless you packed lightly and know exactly where you are going). It was about a ten minute walk into the...

The 'Ruined Gardens' of Riad Idrissy add a magnificent and unique quality to this stunning home. Stepping through the beautifully wild and kept gardens, where it is possible to dine from their mouth-watering selection of contemporary and traditional Moroccan cuisine, added a magic and charm to our stay. The Pinterest worthy central courtyard of this house, with its stunning tile...

The Fes medina, or old, walled city, contains countless riads--what were once private houses, hidden behind walls and accessed through narrow, winding alleyways, converted into something between B & Bs and boutique hotels. The medina is a madhouse of donkeys and throngs of pedestrians (no cars allowed), the cobbled "streets" lined with thousands of vendors of everything from cheap knick-knacks...

Is a dream come true place. Quite and pretty central in the Medina. Their restaurant is fantastic, The Ruin Garden, their bread making class are very fun! I took the class and they even tough us how to make cous cous from scratch. We really laugh a lot. I had a couple of dinners which were fantastic.

The riad is a beautiful place. Nicely decorated, heated, and a beautiful garden. The view at the top is astonishing. You can contemplate the whole city, Atlas mountains, etc. They brought us a wonderful breakfast there. Fresh fruits salad, homemade yogurt, homemade bread, msammen and beghir (Moroccan pancakes) bigger than ever. The people warmly welcome you and pay attention to...

What a refuge in the heart of the medina! We loved every moment staying at this lovely riad. Friendly staff (we love Uthman, Mustafa, Mohammed and Fatima) The ruined garden straight out of a Bowles novel. 5 star experience in Fes.

Riad Idrissy is a gem located in the old medina in Fes. This was one of our splurges in Morroco when we opted for one of the larger suites. It's a lovely inside with a very comfortable bed. The decor is great and does have a lot of modern amenities. There's a restaurant attached (the Ruined Garden) which is very...

We spent three nights in Riad Idrissy and had a fantastic stay. In the heart of the Medina and thus easy access to the Medina. Hospitality and service of all staff and people is outstanding! (As I had picked up a cold (in the desert I guess) they brought me honey-ginger-tea on my bed (and above all in 5 minutes...
