We stayed in this amazing traditional riad from the 16th April till 23rd (still here!) and have had the most loveliest experience, fantastic location inside the old medina and Atika has looked after us so well. The breakfast is so tasty and fresh, so much care is taken of your needs and nothing is too much trouble for Atika, she...

I just spent 3 nights at Riad 9 and had an amazing time visiting Fes. The Riad is an architectural gem and the service (Attika) is a highlight. She helped us with all sorts of planning for our days and she took great care of us. It was like staying with a friend. The rooftop terrace is wonderful....we were able...

Staying at the riad was an incredible base from which to experience Fes -- a great breakfast, attentive and warm service from Atika who make several parts of our trip smoother, and good access to the bustling souks. That doesn't even begin to touch on the incredible rooms and rooftop view! Would definitely stay here again! Special thank you to...

Review Numero 9 Stephan was Serendipity. He was the first point of contact when we were planning our trip to Morocco. He is warm, responsive, kind and generous with information despite his busy day job as Creative director of the Jardin Majorelle , miles away in Marrakech. He has opened his interesting , lovingly restored Riad ,a vacation home in...

Early November, my wife and I, visited Fez. A friend recommended this riad, and since we were going to stay only three days, we decided on Numero9 because of its very central location in the Medina. Little did we know that we were going to have an experience of a lifetime. Numero 9 is a story book place to stay....

We returned to RIAD NUMERO 9, because we loved it first time. And, we were not sorry. It was as amazing as we remembered it, and more. We loved the location, the riad itself, lovely Ms. Atika, who made sure that we are comfortable. We felt home. In this elegant, beautifully appointed place, with a great attention to detail, one...

We stayed at Riad Numero 9 to celebrate our five year anniversary seeking pampering, privacy and relaxation, Riad 9 had all of that and much more. The owner, Stephen Di Renza and staff were warm, welcoming and attentive to our every need we immediately felt like family. Riad 9 was by far above and beyond our expectations. Every room was...

I heard about this riad from a friend who stayed here two years ago. She couldnt stop gushing about the cool decor and great experience she had here so my expectations were high. Thankfully it was all I hoped it would be and more. Being an interior designer, I loved discovering all the cool and eclectic accessories and furnishings used...

The challenge of staying in a gorgeous hotel is the difficulty of leaving your room or in this case your home away from home. Nowhere is this more pronounced than in the overwhelmingly hectic medina of Fez and the quiet, but sumptuous embrace behind the walls of Riad no.9 in the very heart of the old town. There are only...

We heard about RIAD NUMERO 9 from a friend who stayed there last year. She loved it and insisted that, when in Fas, we stay there. We did, and what a stay it was! We fell in love with the place. It is a small riad, with three beautifully furnished and elegant rooms. The smallest detail in this riad was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Riad n°9 is an 18th century bourgeois residence that has been reincarnated as a boutigue bed and breakfast. The decisive factor in purchasing the property was the roof terrace which has sweeping views over the medina. Riad n°9 was originally purchased as a vacation home in 1999 and underwent a 3-year restoration process. We uncovered all the original 18th century mosaics, carved wood and plaster and hand-painted wood. In 2007, we opened to the public and changed nothing believing guests would appreciate the "personal" touches throughout. Our philosophy is to offer guests the possibility of appropriating the space for themselves and experiencing what an authentic medina home feels like. ... more   less
