Booked a 2 night stay here in an upgraded room as a city visit before onwards to Marrakech. Can't fail to be impressed as you enter the main courtyard. Lovely large pool flanked by rooms on ground and first floors. Our room was at the far end of the Riad and was decorated in traditional style. Huge 4-poster bed, vaulted ceiling and plenty of space, including table and chairs, antique wardrobes, lights etc. Very impressive. Air conditioning powerful too. Only let down was the bathroom which was dark and dingy. Yes it was clean, but no shower cubicle, just a small and leaking hand unit to use in the bath, quite impracticle for washing your hair etc. Ate one night at the Riad and were served tasty fresh salads and a lovely fragrant tagine. White wine was crisp and cold and good value too. Fine for a one or two night stay, save for the disappointing bathroom

We stayed a wonderful four nights here, Samir the evening manager was wonderful, attentive and kind. He gave us a great welcome with mint tea and explained the city to us. The food was incredible, wish we had dinner at the riad every night as it was truly exceptional. It was beautiful homely Moroccan cooking. We had a hammam each and a massage ( I would just do the hammam - which is an amazing experience and a must do, I wouldn’t bother booking the massage as it was very light and relaxing if your into that...if not stick to the hammam) We booked a half day tour of fes which I would recommended, be aware the tour guide walks extremely fast and it’s more of a “don’t get lost in medina tour” instead of an informative one. We were taken to a few places which were to sell us leather/rugs which is always an unpleasant experience. The female day manager started out really friendly but did try to sell u scarfs and when we didn’t buy she wasn’t the same towards us for the rest of the time, she also asked me to get out 2000 dehrims to pay towards the bill - when I explained that every time we withdraw money there is a bank charge which she didn’t seem to care about. I would definitely recommend this riad to anyone staying in Fes, it was authentic, beautiful and a real hidden treasure.

Having travelled to many countries around the world staying mainly in smaller mid range hotels, this places ranks as one of the absolute best. From the friendly helpful welcome, to the delicious food, gorgeous tranquil pool and comfortable authentic rooms, this place is absolutely spot on. The location is on the edge of the medina and given the design of the building, it mixes ease of access to Fez’s wonderful medina with a peace that makes you almost forget where you are. The Riad happily accommodated our three year old too. The fact that our only criticism was a lack of labelling of the complimentary shampoo/ shower gel, says it all :-).
