What an AMAZING experience! The Dar Roumana is a gem and came highly recommended to me by friends in the US consulate, who often come here. After spending a wonderful, yet exhausting, day in the Medina, the Dar Roumana seemed like an oasis. Once I found the Dar Roumana, I felt like a king. Mohamed greeted me with a warm...

We travelled to Fes, to meet up with friends we hadn't seen in a while since we are currently living on the other side of the world! Our friends organised the accommodation and Dar Roumana was an amazing choice (it reminded me why we are friends). The riad exceeded my expectations - it is beautiful. We spent a lot of...

Dar Roumana is run by a friendly and helpful Australian woman and her French partner. He is a first class chef and dinner is outstanding, if not cheap - rightly described as European with a Moroccan twist. Breakfasts are excellent (rosewater-flavoured yoghurt was a special favourite) and are served in the courtyard. We would definitely recommend one of the two...

Dar Roumana is the perfect place to stay in Fes. Just inside the walls of the ancient medina, Dar Roumana is a stunning riad that has been beautifully restored. Bedrooms are delightful and the shared central courtyard is the perfect place for breakfast and/or dinner. The roof terrace is a beautiful spot for a late afternoon glass of wine. We...

What a great place to stay in Des. The property is beautifully decorated and appointed, with a lovely roof terrace where you can have breakfast or enjoy some quiet time if you need some. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive, helping with guides and even getting rail tickets on our behalf. Keep an eye out for the pet turtle!...

Vanessa and Vincent were the superlative hosts and ensured that every whim was attended to in a very calming "mi casa es tu casa" way. Fes is a breath of fresh air after the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh and coming "home" at the end of the day to this haven, tucked away and above the labyrinth of streets is...

We stayed in the Argana suite which is the cheapest offered. It is up quite a lot of steep stairs which was not a problem to us. We were warmly welcomed and given a quick guide to Fez as we has not booked in for dinner on our first night. We managed to find out way around. Breakfast was great...

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Morocco for our honeymoon, and we stayed in the Tamarind suite for our first 4 nights of the trip. Everything was spectacular! The staff was so helpful even before we arrived, answering my emails and many questions promptly and thoroughly. They helped us plan everything we needed, and it was all fabulous....

Arriving at Dar Roumana after an overlong Ryanair flight was quite something. The building is a work of art: a high, elegant courtyard centred round a delightful little fountain; a high-ceilinged, comfortable library amply lit; all topped off by a beautiful roof terrace with an extra mini terrace on which you can look out over Fes while lounging on white...

Fantastic place. Very friendly. Excellent food. Stayed with my children who loved it too. The rooms are really beautiful and the terrace at the top if the hotel gives exceptional views over the medina. The main street of the median is less than a 5 minute walk away.
