This is an impressive house in one of the most incredible cities in all of the world. One must realize this is a smaller house not an expansive ryad. Despite that cozy distinction - it is an exquisit house that is a feast of detail to an architecturally astute eye. The view from the roof top balcony is superb -...

From the architectural detail to the delicious breakfast, the comfy beds to the phenomenal owners, Dar Seffarine is magnificent in every sense of the word. The courtyard is absolutely opulent and the rooms are stunning. Excellent location in the Fes medina. A stay there absolutely should not be skipped on a trip to Fes.

In Fez we stayed at a Riad that was amazing. The staff were like friends after only a few days and the location was great. They had an amazing breakfast and the architecture was amazing. We loved our stay here. Getting to the Riad you almost have to have a guide but I think they can arrange to meet you....

Not only our favorite stay of Morocco, but one of our absolute favorites of any city in the world. After an exacting 3.5 year renovation, the building is amazing - an immaculate example of classic Islamic architecture with simple, tasteful decor. In fact, I think the building was even more lovely than half the museums we visited in the medina!...

When we decided to stay at Dar Seffarine the only suite available to us was the Suite on the top floor. It was the most expensive one. We have stayed in many beautiful high end places in our travels, one of the most luxurious being the Four Season's Resort at Sharm El Shieik in Egypt. By far, the suite at...

This hotel is an absolute must -- possibly the nicest place we've ever stayed, and we travel a lot. The rooms are palacial, the people incredibly friendly, the food terrific. This is not a luxury resort, so if you want a 5 star hotel, this is probably not your cup of tea-- most of the guests were young, but we're...

In a few words: I LOVE THIS PLACE I would go back anytime. Here is why: Room: Amazing. beautiful and very large with seating area, high ceilings and very clean. They even had a playpen and a baby tub for our baby! Food: very good mix of moroccan and Iranian. Delicious breakfast (included). Environment: super friendy, we had communal dinners...

We collapsed into Dar Seffarine after two weeks of comparatively primitive travel, and thought we had died and gone to heaven. First, it was so very quiet. Second, the staff treated us like old friends. Third, the place is meticulously restored and yet comfortable. Finally, if there can be a "finally" to such an effusive review, the rooftop patio and...

Dar Seffarine ranks among the most impressive of the magnificent architectural sights we saw while in Morocco. The riad has been restored meticulously--you're surrounded by vaulted ceilings, intricate and beautiful tiles, carved wood, and plasterwork at every turn. The rooms are very clean and furnished tastefully, with Moroccan artwork and lighting and comfortable bedding. Breakfast is served in a room...

The museum in Meknes is almost identical, but nowhere near as lovingly restored and consequently beautiful as Dar Seffarine. It is the most beautiful building I've ever stayed in. The practicalities (location, bed, cleanliness etc.) are all great, it's fantastic value for money and every time you walk into the main courtyard you will be gob-smacked by how beautiful the...
