I've stayed in a few riads in Fez and the Riad Laarousa last week is my favorite by far. First, the owners and staff could not be more friendly, helpful and accommodating. Second, the attention to detail and the design and quality of the riad is superb. Our Grey suite was/is sumptuous. The meals: breakfast/lunch/dinner were all splendid. The breeze...

I travelled with 2 other ladies to this riad. What a wonderful place , both to look at and to stay. The staff were wonderful.. Asmae and Abdul on the terrace for our meals were fantastic and helpful. Our room was the yellow room on the 3rd floor... Huge size and really nicely decorated... And we loved having the outside...

Dear everyone, We spent significant travel time in Morocco and, in the course of our travels, stayed at quite a few other riads and resorts. Fez and Riad Laaroussa (for 4 nights) were the highlights of our trip. The historic beauty of the riad, the gardens, the tasteful restoration, the welcoming smiles of the staff and the hosts, Fred and...

The medina of Fez is mysterious, magical, wonderful and very dusty. One thousand year old dust. There are no water hoses washing down the cobblestones.....only water bottles with holes punched in the top to sprinkle in front of shops to keep the dust down a little. It's fabulous but also a little bit of work for a tourist. Shop keepers...

We had the green suite for three nights, an unspeakably beautiful room and bath: high ceilings, traditional wooden carvings, plaster ornamentation, beautiful tiled floors, and metal ornamented window openings. We were welcomed by an amazing impromptu lunch after an exhausting overnight flight and drive from the Casablanca airport, nap then cocktails and dinner on the roof terrace, with views of...

Riad Laaroussa is truly one of the loveliest placed we have stayed during our extensive travels, and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Fred and Catherine have done a truly spectacular job renovating their riad and have assembled a first-rate staff that manages to be attentive and helpful without ever being intrusive. As is the case with all of the...

Riad Laaroussa was a multi layer surprise. Entering the front door I knew it was big but when we entered the second set it was like entering an oasis. The courtyard was magnificently large and the staff was right there to greet us and lead us to our room. Our poor baggage man had to carry our very heavy luggage...

Not only have the charming owners done an exquisite job in their restoration of this authentic Riad tucked away in the medina, they have managed to attract and sustain a staff who take great pride in their work. The mentoring and care taken to support and develop their team--from the housekeepers to waiters and office support staff--is evident in every...

I recently had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights--each room is unique and beautiful, with lovely linens and especially wonderful bathrooms! The courtyard in the middle is a great place to relax with the orange trees and fountain. The breakfast we were offered was very good, and the evening meal we ordered was also excellent, but I felt...

This was the first stop on our 12-tour of Morocco, and it set the bar very high for the places that were to follow. The staff and two owners, both of whom went out of their way to meet us, were gracious as could be. The location, just off one of the main thoroughfares of the medina, was convenient but...
