Nestled in the Old medina of the imperial city fez, Riad El Yacout is an ancient private residence of a rich merchant that was restored by a group of talented Fassis craftsmen to its former glory. When you arrive, you will be mesmerized by the serenity and tranquility that reign in the Riad and by the chanting of the birds and water sounds coming from the marble fountain that is gracefully centered in the courtyard. The winter garden exhales soft and refreshing scents. Take time to taste the mint tea in the comfort of the Moroccan living tradition.Admire the Arabo-Andalusian architecture which detects an art of refined living. Columns and arcades set up meticulously with floral and cursive sculptures marvellously engraved on Plaster and cedar doors.Discover the Moroccan gastronomy and enjoy the delights of the rich and varied Moroccan art of cooking. Our dishes are prepared with the finest spices and organic ingredients to give our guests a taste of the real and authentic Fassi cuisine. The meals can be served in patios, Moroccan living room, terraces or in intimacy of your residence according to your choice.

Excellent location at the edge of the medina. Beautiful, a visual feast: a truly stunning building with amazing historical architectural details. Large rooms. The best breakfasts. Unfortunately the pool was green with algae and the patio was under construction and off-limits. Additionally, there were literally no available services (besides breakfast).

Just home from this riad and all I can say is 5 stars are not enough. I tried hard to find a negative thing to say but there was not one thing I could complain about. The food was good the staff are all great. Would I recommend this hotel without a doubt, would I go back most definitely.

Our tour operator had booked us this hotel in advance. However, they failed to inform anyone that there is renovation and construction going on in one half of the riad. I understand that they don’t want to lose revenue, but they should also understand that paying customers do not want to stay next to a construction site. The pool is dirty with stagnant water. Our itinerary also included dinner, but we were told that they do not serve dinner. They also turn off all the lights in the common area when no one’s there. I understand they want to save money, but this is not the way to run a hotel. Book at your own risk .

This hotel seems like more like a palace, with just a few amazingly beautifully decorated rooms. The lobby is an intricately tiled courtyard. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very helpful. It is a memorable place.

I recently took a tour with my mother in Morocco, and had the pleasure of staying at the Riad El Yacout for 2 nights. From start to finish, our stay was absolutely perfect. The staff was helpful, kind, funny and polite. The restaurant had delicious food, and was a perfect, serene setting for a relaxing dinner. Everything we needed was there, even laundry service! Our waiter, Marcos, made sure that we were well looked after every morning and night, and he was very kind and attentive during our stay. The hotel beds were so comfortable, and the room was just perfect. I hope to come back!
