Riad ibn Battouta was the ideal oasis in the amazing but chaotic experience of Fes medina. Everyone was so friendly, the hotel design was beautiful and everything we wanted was immediately taken care of. We had a great trip and can’t wait to come back!
Although at first looked like a worthy hotel...After a minutes se realized that the owner Wanted to impose the guides of her knowledge On us. we have declined her invitations and it has become unpleasant and unfriendly thriughout our stay. But what Even more serious the lady day, we had to pay twice because she pretended not to see the payment
The riad was clean, staff Adorable and very friendly Breakfast was Lovely The old city very close I would recommend this riad because it is nice and clean And a good rest And Thank you all employees Help me to the city And thanks to Director Mohamed The owner of the hotel
Nice riad for great price. We were disappointed that the minibar was an empty refrigerator that barely worked and no coffee pot. Mohammad was very accommodating with arranging a guide for a short period of time in Fez and then an amazing private driver to take us to Chefchaouen and then Tangier Med Ferry. Our guide was great but we kept getting passed off to new guides; for instance, in the tannery and then again in the leather jacket store within the tannery, which was fine, but every time we turned around, we were needing to tip someone new. So our 25 euro guide for 2 hours ended up being twice that. We will say, that it was very loud at night in the streets outside our window. Not sure if it is always like that or if there was an event happening. Our only complaint is that upon checkout, the prices quoted for the riad, guide and driver and dinner were half in euros and in dirhams. 170 euros were quoted for driver/guide through email but then checkout was 2000 dirhams, not quite equivalent. It made it very confusing to get an accurate total. After we paid, the clerk came and got us out of the car, saying he did not charge us right and to come back inside right away. We replied it was, in fact, correct. We understand these things happen, but the way he talked to us was unprofessional. Anyways, after he checked again, everything was correct. …
Our experience of the riad was great. Iman was very helpful and friendly as were Hassan and Hamza. We did not feel like imaN was forceful or selling tours - quite the contrary in fact! The rooms were spacious and beautiful and oozed a Moroccan charm. The breakfast was Great (they even did eggs for us!) and the location was perfect just outside the medina and easily accessible by taxis etc. Would highly recommend basis our stay!
