We spent a week within Dar Zelda - communication was great up to our stay, Brendan confirmed our reservation a few days beforehand and organised transfers etc. After an hour of queueing at passport control in the airport, the driver did not appear to be frustrated with having to wait for us. Once we arrived near the riad, our taxi...

Dar Zelda is just enough outside the souks to make for a relaxing respite but close enough to be in the fray in no time. Very accommodating staff including their patient driver who met me at the airport late at night due to flight delays. A great start to my Moroccan holiday. Michel even arranged a rental car for me...

Beautiful haven in a mad place, staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly . Even made sandwiches for the journey home, will go back and definitely stay there again. Nice restaurant just around the corner selling wicked cocktails and cold corona which went down a treat

Wonderful little hotel with very attentive and helpful management and staff. We loved the friendly atmosphere, the inclusive olives, water and fresh orange juice and the superb roof top terrace. Make sure to have a look at their master suite and its fantastic interior design, even if you don't stay in there.

Brandon was very easy to work with and very pleasant even when I had to keep updating the confirmation because we were a group that kept making changes, he was very sweet about it all. The riad was beautiful, clean and welcoming. Michael and the local staff were all very helpful and kind. We were a hectic group of 5...

We just returned from a long weekend in Dar Zelda. We arrived in the hustle and bustle of the Medina from the taxi arranged through the Riad. Entering the Riad is like entering a another world from the medina, it's quiet and peaceful. We had a fantastic tagine that night and enjoyed a drink on the beautiful roof terrace. We...

We booked the airport transfer for 15 euros and as expected we were picked up from the airport by a taxi. Disappointingly the taxi did not have any seatbelts (which we found was generally the case in marrakech), the taxi then dropped us off in place moukef and introduced us to a man who he told us would show us...

Michel and his team give you a warm welcome, you feel like at home! The interior is sophisicated, sylish with very nice traditional elements. The Girls working at Dar Zelda are nice and extremly helpful. Breakfest or lunch on the Terasse is a dream! The location of the Riad is in the Medina and easy to find, convinient close to...

Our holiday in Marrakech actually got off to a bad start. After our driver (airport transfer) dropped my wife and I on the main street, we were escorted to the entrance of Dar Zelda by a man whom we thought is a staff. Apparently not as he started demanding 200 dirhams for his 'service'. We quickly rang the doorbell and...

This is a great place to stay. Dar Zelda is very centrally located in the Medina and about a 10 minute walk through the shops to the “Big Square”. The Medina is a maze so it took us two days to realise how centrally located we were, it was fine once we decided to ignore the advice of local people...

The Riad Dar Zelda is a small luxury boutique hotel in magical Marrakesh. The Riad has 4 double bedrooms, 3 junior suites and one grand 19th-century luxury suite. The decor is resolutely Zen and minimalist, but respectful of the ancient Moroccan artisanship: wrought iron, silks, precious woods. Every room is refined and luxurious.Dar Zelda is ideally located in the heart of the Medina (historical city center), just next door to the Medersa Ben Youssef (a must to visit; in all the guides) and the Museum of Marrakech. The riad is 10 minutes from the celebrated Place Djemaa El Fna and 2 mn to the souks (bazaar).Dar Zelda has a discreet/competent team of workers always attentive to realize your desires. The riad has 24 hour reception and room service. Lunch, dinner or snacks can be made to order anytime. You will enjoy the small heated pool and several terraces dominating the entire Medina and the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. ... more   less

“All are excellent. Douaria is worth every extra penny. The three suites are definitely more spacious so if you can splurge a little do.”

“The Douria family suite where we stayed was beautiful and spacious. There was one small-looking room that faced on the courtyard that didn't appear to have much privacy.”

“as we were out, or in the sitting room or roof terrace, most of the time we did not actually need the 'junior suite' extra room, the bedroom and bathroom were attractive, reasonably large and comfortable. We did not see other rooms but some are striking with original features I believe.”
