We stayed in Riad la porte rouge as part of our honeymoon in September 2016 for 7 nights. Room: We stayed in the Al Warda room which was lovely, my husband had arranged flower petals and candles to be lit when we entered and it was really beautiful. Lovely large bathroom as well and authentic yet modern decor. Location: Walkable... More

Great little riad in a quieter part of the old city, yet still just a short walk to all the action. The staff bent over backwards to look after any request - arranging a reasonably-priced lift to the train station on short notice. Supper was very nice as well, at little tables placed in the courtyard, or more informally, at... More

Stayed with a family group of four. A beautifully lit cobbled alley led us to our favourite door in Marrakesh. Situated in an area convenient to many of the major attractions we spent a very happy 3 night stay. A warm welcome complete with refreshments and super relaxed Max (the cat) we soon felt at home. We hadn't booked dinner... More

The Riad La Porte Rouge was simply awesome. The staff was incredible and answered every request or need with "not a problem". Even though only a small staff is required for the seven room hotel, they seemed to be everywhere. The food was incredible! We had two dinners on the property and three breakfasts. The Moroccan cuisine was fantastic and... More

Had some difficulties to find the riad, a detailed map is needed here. Once arrived, one feels like in an oasis. All the interior is really nice decorated and the rooms are amazing. Apart from the (nice working) AC one feels like in a palace a century in the past. The staff is really nice and helpful.

This is a lovely Riad in a quiet part of the Medina and a world away from the madness of the Jemaa El Fna. Dinner / Excursions / Transfers are slightly more expensive but well worth the extra few euros to have it all done for you. Jemaa El Fna is a 20 min walk or 20 dirham (€2) in... More

The place was very hidden and tricky to find. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely owner Abdul. He was very friendly and accommodating. The staff were super amazing and we were given a traditional mint tea and biscuits to relax before checking in. This Riad has everything you could ask for - Big rooms, lovely decor, a petite... The owner of the Riad was very friendly. It was a warm welcome. At arrival we've got Moroccan tea and some Moroccan cookies. The hole Riad is very beautiful, you have to see it with your own eyes. The rooms are clean, beautiful, lot of Moroccan details. The food is also amazing. What You get for the price is amazing.... More

The place was very good. Big room, very nice staff, good kitchen (best tajine we had in Marrakech). A nice cat :). Arranged for everything (airport transfer, excursions) very efficiently. Just two notes: - wifi was not very good - it is a bit far from the center of the Medina. The area was not unsafe at all BUT you... More

Visited in September 2016 as a couple, for 7 days. Having never stayed in Marrakech before, I had reservations about what to expect. To help I asked for transfers to and from the airport. This cost us €15 each way, which isn't too bad when you consider transfers to airports at home are seriously expensive (UK). There may be cheaper... More
