The Kasbah is a part of the city more quiet and local life than the souk. There is no alcohol served in the restaurants in the area, but you can get to the new town by taxi - cost EUro 3-4 You`ll have to walk 20-30 minutes to get to Djama El Fna, or take a taxi - cost 2...

We stayed there in the last few days of 2014. The riad is located in the Kasbah, but has easy access by car (about 20 meters) which is a plus in terms of carrying around your suitcases when checking in and out or as pick up point for excursions. The place itself is quite lovely, with a nice patio where...

We stayed 5 days and 5 nights in May, We wished we stayed longer. From there, you can go to all the landmarks of Marrakech easily. The patio where you have breakfast (which are delicious and homemade) also has a small pool which makes the place unique.A lot of small and typical shops are all around. The manager Hanane is...

My wife and I stayed here four days and three nights in April, 2014 on a side trip from Paris. We found the manager Hanan extraordinarily warm and helpful, lavishing us with outstanding homemade breakfasts and dinners. Its interior courtyard with reflecting pool was a haven in the middle of the bustling Casbah, surrounded by the "old" Marrakech. It offered...

Lovely place, located in the older part of the city, but you can easily go to all the touris attractions... I loved all the original shops around. We loved this place!!! Anna made us fee at home with her stories, helpful advices and her tea! :-) You can book some tours with her, too.

This was the worst lodging experience ever, fortunately we only stayed here one night. Most incompetent, unfriendly staff ever. Woken up very, very early in the morning by staff with loud cleaning, long before breakfast was served. Then as I couldn't sleep with all of the banging noise, I escaped to the rooftop terrace. The cleaning lady/manager came up to...

The Riad is in the heart of Marrekech (Kasbah area prounouced Kisbah) not a very affluent area but if you want to see the real Marrakech this is the area to stay. On arrival which was about 11pm greeted with mint tea and...

We stayed for four nights at the Riad Schanez, March 10-14. Anna, who runs the place is extremely helpful in suggesting and arranging things to do while in Marrakech and will provide a traditionally cook Moroccan evening meal if you advise her at breakfast time. The breakfasts are varied and substantial and more than enough to sustain you until evening....

Clean, friendly, helpful staff, a selection of hot and colds breads for breakfast. The plunge pool is a god send. About 10 mins walk from the main square, so not for lazy folk. Can't recommend enough!
