To experience Marrakech the way it should be experienced means you should stay in a Riad in or very close to the Medina. There are Riads and then there is Riad Berbere, it is stunning, excellent value for money, centrally located and the host Ingrid is extremely helpful. We travelled to Marrakech as a group of 8 girls, many of... More

This Riad is absolutely wonderful thanks to Ingrid and her staff. Ingrid is good fun and very knowledgable about Marrakech. We had dinner one night at the Riad and the food was delicious. Service was great and the staff were very efficient. A superb be choice of Riad in Marrakech and a lovely place to get away from all the... More

For a first timer in Marrakesh, it can be quite overwhelming to be on a foreign land surrounded by lots of people in the market. The meandering alley can be quite confusing, but the moment we stepped in the Riad, I knew that we are in a calm, clean and serene place away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina.... Really lovely place hidden down an winding alley. I'd recommend availing of the airport transfer because we would never have found it the first evening we arrived without it. Ingrid is very helpful, she provides you with a map of the medina and points out places that would be interesting to see and places to eat. It's beautifully kept and... More

This is the place WOW!! Book here if you want to stay in Marrakech! On arrival: The owner arranged a guy to pick us up , the whole process of getting to the place is easy although the road in Marrakech is tough. Inside: Beautiful riad, beautiful yard, beautiful room! Dining: The food here is so great! And the price... More

Ingrid, the Riad's manager, was attentive and friendly from the date of booking. We recommend that you book your transfer from the airport with her, and don't get freaked out by having your luggage transferred to a carousel (handcart) and following it through a maze of narrow passage ways to the door of the Riad. The door opens onto a... More

It is hard to find fault with the Riad Berbere. Everything is beautiful, functional and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed three nights and had hamman treatments twice and dinner twice. Everything to our satisfaction. We really loved the cats, but people with allergies must be warned.

I can confirm that all the five star reviews for this place are spot on! You need to be a wee bit adventurous to stay in the Medina but after the first culture shock day, my mother and I really got to grips with dealing with the souks and the sellers. Polite but firm wins every time. If this is... More

We (couple mid 20s) went there on June. It was more than 40ºC outside, but there was this oasis for us that is Riad Berbere: a small and quite place inside the caotic Marrakech where we could relax and be fresh at the hottest hours, always with the kind attention of the personnel and being offered mint tea and cookies.... A simple wooden door on a dingy alley opened into a calm entrance with candles and roses which led into the cool courtyard of a Riad. A very beautifully restored and presented traditional building offering calm simplicity in an elegant way. Apparently it was restored by a Belgian architect who appreciated the Moroccan style so the Riad was that wonderful... More
