This was our first visit to Marrakech, on a four-day break, and it turned out to be one of the best weekends of our lives.
To all future travellers: please do not be put off by the initial bumpy ride down a narrow dusty track,...More
I was dreading getting to the hotel on the way there. My fault for not doing more research of the place. It was in a poor area and the road was rough but I was pleasantly surprised by what we saw once we got to...More
Forewarned is forearmed when visiting CaravanSerai. You must remember you are paying a very very reasonable amount for a unique, stylish, relaxed, bohemian and understated experience. Turn away now if you are looking for anything else, in particular the anodyne, sanitised and corporatised standards expected...More
It was interesting to know that hundreds of years ago traders and travellers with their animals could stay and rest for free on their long journeys at one of these caravanserais I didn't know this kind of place existed!
A wonderful small (17 bed) hotel 8 km out of the center .Magical " shabby chic " rooms of ample size and not two the same ! Attentive but not obsequious staff make your stay memorable ,and they will always help in planning your days...More

I visited in September - we booked the hotel through a website called Voyage Privé who organised an airport transfer for us via the hotel. I would advise contacting the hotel directly and asking them to organise a pick-up for you. They have a lovely driver who works for the hotel directly who knows the roads very well. I can't remember the cost but really very affordable from what I can remember. I don't think it cost more than £15/20.
Don't be alarmed when driving up the drive to the hotel, it is VERY bumpy and dusty - this is just Morocco for you. The drivers really know what they are doing and are used to these sort of conditions. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and you forget that you are down a bumpy dirt track once you're inside!
