The riad is located in the heart of the Medina, steps away from Jemma El Fna square. However, the entrance is in a small street, so once you are in the riad, it is very quite. Cees and Maryak, the owners, are just wonderful hosts. Cees welcomed us when we arrived, we went up on the roof and had a... More

We stayed at Riad Azzar in April of 2014. We did a one week holiday in Morocco, starting our trip in Marrakech followed by four days of hiking in the High Atlas Mountains and then returning to Marrakech. Both stays at the beginning and end of our trip were wonderful. Location - The riad is located an easy five minute... More

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely riad during a short break in Marrakech. Ideally situated a stone's throw from the Jamaa-el-Fna square, it is nevertheless an oasis of tranquility and peace and a welcome retreat for relaxation after doing battle with the souks all day. Each room has its own unique character (we... More

We have just returned from Riad Azzar where we spent 4 wonderful nights. This place is a haven, a quiet, refined and relaxing atmosphere with kind and caring Dutch owners, Maryk and Cees and their wonderful team of attentive staff. We were so close to Djemaa el Fna too. The decor is beautiful, our suite was stunning and very comfortable... More

It was more than we expected, the attention to detail of the decor is absolute of both Riads (Riad Siwan), the comfort and service was excellent and the owners Cees and Marjke just made sure every need or query was seen too. Lucky enough to spent night in both Riads....we found it hard to compare or criticize either. The Souks... More

We had two suites at the Riad Azzar. Both rooms were beautifully appointed as well as the riad itself. Riad Azzar exceeded all of our expectations - superb service, old world authenticity, great location, hearty breakfasts, etc. We could not have asked for more. The beautifully tiles rooftop terrace was a great place to hang before and after long days... More

Just had three nights in Marrakech in the Riad Azzar in a standard room on the ground floor which was delightful although fairly petite. Very well equipped bathroom. Continental Breakfast was included and was served on the roof terrace which was a great way to start the day. The staff were helpful and it was great to have a beer... More

Just had a brilliant stay at Riad Azzar in Marrakech. In a city with so many riads it is hard to determine the poor and average adresses from the good and excellent ones. Well, this one is excellent indeed. In the heart of the medina but yet a very peaceful place. Beautiful and spacious rooms. Delicious meals and very warm... More

Five of us stayed four nights using three rooms at Riad Azzar. The owners became good friends. The staff was lovely and helpful -- serving us delicious food to our request. When we needed help with our airlines reservations, the owners made extra effort to make the change for us. We would stay there again without question and highly recommend... More

This is a very nice riad well located in the Marrakesh medina. The rooms were a bit smaller than those we had elsewhere in Morocco, but very nicely appointed. Our meals were very good. The service was good, but not great. Once I spoke to the manager, the service improved. All and all, a good place to stay.

“We stayed at Riad Azzar and chose our room for bigger size and the beautiful alcove sitting area (with the carved wood screen for viewing into the courtyard.below). Riad Siwan is a newer renovation, done entirely by Cees and Maryk, and the design elements throughout will, honestly, just knock your socks off - it's just astounding. Either location will be a real treat for you.”
