The bar of Palais Donab was our evening spot to enjoy Moroccan wines. Calm, comfortable and peaceful. Incredible decor, marble and furniture embraced by the dazzling piano. Our table was set in front of the crystal blue pool. What an evening!!

The hotel is a beautiful place, but the restaurant is a typical hotel restaurant. I ordered pastille with seafood, my wife with chicken. The seafood was ok. Too much chicken in then chiken one, but with a lovely taste with sweet and cinnamon as it should be. The cos cos vegetarian was average. Caramel flan for dessert cantt be recommended,...

Just returned from four nights (lucky, lucky us!) at this dazzlingly beautiful riad. We booked two deluxe suites for our family of four, and both rooms were completely stunning, as is the whole riad. All the staff were welcoming and helpful, and we felt very spoilt indeed. As soon as we arrived, we were given mint tea and Moroccan pastries,...

Our favourite restaurant in Marrakesh is currently closed for the UN Climate Change conference being held until mid November. Lucky delegates being put up here, poor us, so we will have to come back again next year. We first found this former palace on our first visit to Marrakesh in a cold January and were stunned by the beauty of...

We visited for a pool day - use of small pool, towels and sun beds provided- and lunch, and can highly recommend both. The pool is not large and quite deep and so not really suitable for small children or those wishing to swim any distance, but it is ideal for cooling down on a very hot day. Lunch was excellent,...

Although this functions as a hotel I only have experience of the restaurant, visiting with a large tour group. It is beautiful, quiet place, given the noise and bustle of downtown Marrakesh is just outside the walls. A recent reviewer said it need renovation but it was in excellent condition for our visit. The restaurant tables are placed adjacent to...

I cannot deny that Palais Donab is a gem, with amazing spacious rooms, a great restaurant and is extremely beautiful, with a photogenic pool area (even though I went there in winter). Also, their staff is very accommodating and pleasant. Nevertheless, it is in urgent need of a renovation, mainly in the bathrooms.

Food was lovely and inside decor is absolutely amazing. The place has a very moroccan regal feeling to it. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed both the eating and the fantastic service. This place wasnt too far from the Riad we were staying at, and was awed at the decor.

Set in the Palace grounds the restaurant has indoor and outdoor dining. We sat beside the swimming pool in the gardens. We had the Moroccan mixed salad as a starter to share which was delicious. Then shared the chicken tangaria and the veal four flavours to share. By far the best tagine we have had in our 10 years of...

My husband and I used this hotel for a swim a couple of times whilst staying in Marrakech , the riad we were staying in didn't have an outside pool. The pool was set in a really delightful court yard surrounded by orange and lemon trees. It worked out about £10 for the day , the price included a lounger...
