Despite the mixed reviews my husband and I decided to give it a go and didn't regret it one minute. The location is great - central but quiet - except the muezzin at 5am - but that is what you are expecting anyway. We stayed in the chocolate suite which was spacious, clean and very tastefully furnished. The big bed...

My husband and I booked this Riad for our 10th wedding anniversary after failing to get into La Maison Arabe and as it was our first time in Marrakesh we didn't know what to expect. We had no problem with the booking, organising a taxi to pick us up from the airport, ensuring that we would have dinner that night...

We have recently had the unalloyed pleasure of staying at Riad des Arts. It was our first time in Marrakech and I can think of no better introduction. Though initially sceptical about its location (it’s not often a man in a pointy hat puts your luggage in his cart, sets off , then asks you 5times what the place is...

After booking a last minute one night stay for our final night in Morocco I was hoping to have a final injection of the luxury riad experience. The riad is lbeautifully decorated, but so dark inside and no locks on the door, which never feels right. After staying in 3 other great Riads this one made no attempt to make...

We went on a family holiday to Marrakech in Dec. 2006, the week before Christmas. It was wonderful to escape the dreary British weather in favour of lots of sunshine and although it was cold in the mornings and evenings it was a very comfortable t-shirt/light jumper weather during the day. We chose Riad des Arts for its location, we...

This was supposed to be a special week away over Christmas. I paid over 1200 euros to stay in 'The Moroccan Tent on the rooftop terrace - favorite room for honeymooners' . Perhaps it would be if they didn't mind it being dark, small, cold (heating didn't work) and with no hot water for half the holiday. No bath ....

Have just returned from 2 weeks in Morocco, 7 nights of which were spent in Riad des Artes Dec 22 - 29th. When we were looking to book Morrakech was so busy that we couldn't find anywhere with the 3 rooms we needed so we booked 2 here and 1 elsewhere; my husband and I paid 200 euros / night...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Riad des Arts is a traditional riad in Marrakesh. Located just a few steps from the Jamaa El Fna square, not far from Bahia Palace, this inviting boutique riad stands within the narrow streets of the city's medina. There are palaces and souks close by, and the riad is ideally placed for exploring the Ourika valley and the Ouzoud. Airport transfers are available to guests. The hotel terrace offers sweeping views of the medina and the tip of the Koutoubia Mosque. Guests can relax on the solarium and in the hammam, taking in the mesmerising vistas, before retiring to the patio, where palm trees and touches of authentic Morocco frame the glistening pool. Guestrooms at the luxury Riad des Arts are immersed in Moroccan style. Interiors drenched in warm shades feature comfortable furnishings and modern amenities, such as WiFi access. “Don't believe them if they say the room you booked is unavailable, demand to see it. The best room is the Arcade room in terms if aesthetics, but it doesn't have A/C. And demand for toiletries otherwise they won't provide it. That's IF you stay here - you're better off going somewhere else!!”
