I have to tell you I was a bit nervous booking inside the Medina and not a big hotel chain. This was my first trip to Marrakech but, I am certain it will not be my last. I booked this off the internet just from surfing around. When I arrived in Marrakech I was totally overwhelmed by the city. The...

Me and my four friends visited Marrakech three weeks ago and had a splendid time. Riad Assouel really is an oasis of peace in the heart of the old town. Once you enter the building all city noises vanish, only the sounds of birds singing remain. Inside the riad there is a small pool, a palmtree and a relaxing-area with...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my friends in June 2013 and had a fantastic time! A driver picked us up from the airport which was great and took us to the hotel. We didn't have to stress about where we were going and queuing to get currency at the airport but could just soak up the surroundings! All...

This was our first visit to Morocco and Marrakesh. We (family of 4; 2 grown sons) stayed in the Ourika suite. Having never been to Morocco, it is truly a land of sensory overload. We had arranged in advance with the Riad to be met at the airport and driven into the medina to Riad Assouel. Upon arrival, we were...

We - five friends on a city trip to Marrakesh - stayed three nights in Raid El Assouel. Upon arrival, the owner, Coralie, took the time to inform us about Marrakesh and its customs (its always handy to get some inside information, for instance about customary taxi tariffs if you got to negotiate about them), while we were served complimentary...

we stayed 2 nights here at the start of our holiday the location was a little out of the way for doing walking tours but once you got your bearings OK. The staff were lovely and attentive happy to provide drinks or snacks at any time of the day. The suite we had for us and the children was ideal...

Anyone who plans to stay at the Riad Assouel should know what they're in for. We certainly didn't, based on the website or the mostly positive Tripadvisor reviews. Frankly I feel like rating it "average" is kind, especially for the price, but that's not to say there are no positives about the place - for us, though, they were overwhelmed...

Dear Mr. Plumb, We wish to thank you for your feedback about your stay with us. We are taking a very positive way all the things you loved in the riad Assouel. However, we are very sad that the Medina have too much surprised you. Regarding to the "journalistic" title of your comment, and this content well detailed, we would...

The Riad Assouel is a little piece of heaven tucked away in the crazy Medina! My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. Coralie and her staff were fabulous - we were made to feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble. The Riad was immaculately presented and was always clean and fresh. The breakfasts and dinners...

In brief, we had a delightful stay in Riad Assouel. We were very warmly welcomed into what is an oasis in the bustle of Marrakech. Our two rooms were amazing, and both loked back onto the courtyard, one with a balcony. The Rid has a pool which is pretty unusual I believe for hotel in this price bracket, which the...

My friend and I stayed here March 2012 and had one of the most memorable trips. The owner and staff made us feel at home and went out of their way to make this trip so special. It was my friend's 21st birthday and they not only hooked us up with the largest suite in the hotel but also got...
