Cheap and cheerful sums up this property best. It is a stone's throw from the airport, costs a fraction of a hotel in town, and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms are absolutely no frills but spotlessly clean and fine for a short nap...More
The only positive is proximity to the airport, but I would definitely not stay here again. The neighbourhood is very noisy (train, motor vehicles and loud music). The room was small and the bedding very old (but clean enough).
Stayed one night as a couple. The room, although clean was very basic and overcrowded with two double beds with barely space to move in. The bathroom however was dirty with remnants of previous visitors's toothpaste on the tap as well as a blod smear...More
For close to airport over night this works do not be put off by the neighbourhood it is clean and basic - expensive for what you get bit worth it to save the hassle of dealing Dar traffic. Tv channels mainly local and poor reception
Let's be honest: people come to this hotel for one reason only-- to kill time/take a shower/sleep a little bit during a long layover in Dar es Salaam (because that is NOT an airport you want to sit around in for more than a couple...More
Yes to both. The hotel is on an intersection with shops along the road to the airport and you can usually pick up prepaid vouchers in one of the stores. Sometimes, there are street hawkers around also selling phone cards... More
Yes to both. The hotel is on an intersection with shops along the road to the airport and you can usually pick up prepaid vouchers in one of the stores. Sometimes, there are street hawkers around also selling phone cards. Finally, depending on when you arrive, the airport shops if open may also have them (although I've never bought them there).
