the stay was pleasant as expected. the staff was very friendly. there are many restaurants around.... some remarks were in regards to the check-in/ check-out process. after the visit, sent a mail, and got remarkable reply stating that the hotel took measures to improve the process. looking forward to seeing the changes.

Stayed here for 10 day Christmas break half way through a year long trip round Africa. We had a spacious apartment. Everything was immaculately clean, all the staff were excellent going way beyond the call of duty to ensure we had a great stay. Excellent!

The rooms, service, etc, are average. Room was clean, with all amenities, good internet connection. So, it is comfortable except for the mosquito net. Need to have mosquito nets instead of spraying the room all the time. The restaurant is also good, except that my fish was not what they said it was. The problem for me was the shuttle...

Dear Helena M Good day, thank you for staying with us and taking time to write this review. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences caused due to the airport shuttle mishap. This was an oversight by the Front Office STAFF for which we regret and necessary corrective action has been taken. The kitchen brigade, who are normally quite...

I travel on business to Dar often and my preferred location is the Protea Oysterbay for its "home away from home" feel. The rooms are small apartments and perfect for a longer stay. The staff are incredibly professional and friendly and make a long hotel stay feel personal. The management and staff are also very accommodating to various needs such...

I spent one night at this hotel, chosen for it's proximity to the USA Embassy (I had paperwork to do there) and the fact it had a pool...and mostly good reviews. I was not disappointed - service was friendly and super efficient, pool was small but since I had it all to myself, not a problem and there is an...

This hotel made me felt like I was home, as the staff did everything possible to make my stay pleasant. It was my first visit to Dar on business. I love the quite nature of the location far from the noise of the city, though it's far from the airport, as you have to cross the city from the airport to...

Protea seafood platter has great variety with much to love. Get it with Kilimanjaro lager, white wine, or fruit punch. Really good! A favorite when in Dar-es-Salaam. The service was excellent and the outdoor patio with an adjustable speed overhead fan was comfy. What's not to like here!

We stayed at Protea Oyster bay for the second time this year, and even though the room was worse, this still is a good hotel with clean rooms, really delicious food and warm and welcoming staff. This time we had to stay in a double-bedroom apartment and it was obviously dated. The furniture looked older than in my previous room,...
