Stayed here after a long time, wanted something else other than the Hyatt Kilimanjaro. The staff is very helpful and friendly all with smiles on their faces. Great food as one expects from the Serena, the fresh fruit is great. The rooms are comfortable but a little dated, the band room has no shower ( Rm 205 ) other than...

Since my first visit to Dar es Salaam seven years ago, this hotel has remained my favourite one. The rooms are superb, spacious but not too big. The restaurant food and service cannot be better, be it indoors or outdoors. How they are able to train their staff to be both polite and attentive remains a mystery to me. Their...

I didn't spend the night at Dar Es Salaam Serena, but i popped in for lunch twice. Excellent buffet with a wide of foods to choose from. Their service is also commendable. The staff are also very good, and have a good working knowledge of English. (Wait did i mention that they had bacon on their lunch buffet? Yes!!) They...

This was my first trip to Tanzania, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I'm pleased to say that I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It is probably better suited for the business traveler than the holiday maker, but overall it was a good experience. The pool was excellent and the workout room was adequate, as was...

I do not believe when I see same of the comments. We really stay in the same hotel? I stayed in a few Serena Hotels and this one was not like others. The beautiful garden, the nice and helpful staff. Perfect. And then the room: very small, with old equipment in the bathroom. No water on the table, not fresh...

This hotel itself is quite good and probably considered luxurious for Africa. The staff are mostly very friendly and well trained - except for the catering staff (more about that later). However, we slept on the most uncomfortable hard bed we ever encountered in any hotel, and we've been all over the world. Not what we expected for such a...

Stayed in this hotel in few occasions. The staff is extremely nice and polite. The pool area is good as well as the gym. Dinner buffet has many options and the food is tasty and fresh. Every time I come in this hotel I'm going for the buffet and so far I was never disappointed.

A stay at the Serena is always relaxing. Even though I usually come for business. The central location with a beautiful garden and outside dining area helps you wind down quickly after a long working day. Rooms are nice and provide some space, very good beds and bedding. If you get a room at the seaside of the building, the...

The service is very good and more over the quality of food is excellent. The staff are very courteous and make sure you have a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is fantastic and the place is silent though the hotel is in the city center.
