We spent 3 nights at the Tented Camp and the accommodations were more luxurious than most hotels. "Tented Camp" does not do justice to the free standing on wooden platform tents. The tent has an en suite bathroom with hot showers available. The tents are large with a sitting area and very nice beds. The food was very good and...

The staff is phenomenal. Beds are so comfortable and tents are nicely decorated. The bathrooms could be upgraded but were acceptable. Be prepared for a "talking" shower which means that all showers have to be organized for someone to heat up and set up water. It can be considered part of the adventure. The food was outstanding and the common...

This tented camp was very good, with a few suggestions. Guests are placed in individual tents which are fairly spacious. We had issues with our sink water coming out in drops and the toilet backing up fairly regularly, but the staff was excellent at clearing up the problem. The showers are like M*A*S*H--the staff pours hot water in a vat...

Lmala Ndutu was a fantastic luxurious tented camp and all the staff were sooo friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, amazing, and we had 5 lions sleep 15 foot from the tent one night but that's what happens in the wild and I felt perfectly safe. Food was great, and the main tented area (dining room and sitting...

The camp was a fantastic experience. The setting was truly remarkable and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Miraji was our superb guide who showed us some lifetime memorable experiences. The mess evenings were great as staff created lovely meals. Best holiday experience ever.

My husband and I stayed at Lemala Mara for 3 wonderful days. Our tent was large, comfortable & beautifully furnished, with a 3 piece ensuite bathroom. The staff were very friendly. Their command of English ranged from terrific (the manager) to ok (serving staff). We had an amazing driver guide, Miraji! He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and went...

The camp was in a great location, close to the crossing points and surrounded by animals who paid us visits both during the day and at night, grazing next to our tents! The food was great and we really liked the family style eating arrangements. Every other camp had individual tables but this one had one large table. As a...

Fantastic location near the Mara River. Mathew and his team made us feel so welcome, everything about this place is wonderful, food, service, atmosphere. Camping in a remote location, but with every possible convenience, staying here for three nights was an experience never to be forgotten.

We were staying at the Lemala Mara camp in the heart of the Serengeti in Northern Tanzania. Waking up to the sun rising over the vast grasslands, with herds of Wildebeest and Zebra wandering across the horizon, is a unique experience. As is the sounds of their 'munching' just outside the tents throughout the night. The distant roars of the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
LEMALA MARA NDUTU are the ultimate mobile camps that move between Ndutu (December - March) to northern Serengeti from July through to October. In both locations it is within touching distance of the birthing areas of the Wildebeest in the South and in the North it offers views over the Mara River. Set under large Euclea trees in the heart of the best game viewing area of the Serengeti. Here, in this immense remote wilderness, guests can enjoy fabulous landscapes and terrific game viewing with practically no crowds. Resident wildlife numbers are exceptionally high, but nothing compared to when the migration starts arriving when the area then turns into a wildlife paradise par excellence. ... more   less
