Our group of 4 stayed here for 2 nights in August 2015. We arrived after a very long bumpy drive, so were very tired and dusty. We found the reception staff friendly, drinks on arrival. Our porters took our bags to our tents, worth the tip as they had to carry on heads... The tents were comfortable, with en suite...

Dear Margaret, It's great to hear you and your group thoroughly enjoyed the experience at our camp! It is a great option to enjoy the vast African savannah. The pack-your-own-lunchbox is very convenient, as packed lunches is always a tricky bit - as not everyone likes the same things. We are very pleased you appreciated this system. Hopefully, you will...

21 days in Tanzania and this was the worst,. Most of the tents where in poor condition. They didn't have any items in stock everything was out. The food was ok, we did have ants in our lunch boxes(not just a few) that is all I have to say about that. We ended up changing rooms as our bathroom was...

This camp was 3 km outside of the Serengeti Park and the accommodation was what I had expected. These are tents covered by a thatched roof which had seen better days. Thrilled to find a built bathroom at the back of the tent. There was hot water at certain times. Lovely verandah where you could sit and watch any passing wildlife....

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Ikoma tented camp. The camp was very nice. Good location close to the national park gates. We saw bucks and some large birds wandering very close to our tent. Exciting ☺ Since it is unfenced they provide good security around the camp. Even when u have to walk back to your...

Dear Sajna, We hope you will stay with us again too. Thank you for staying with us, and for your feedback. Indeed the camp is in the middle of the bush, so we go through every extent to ensure the safety of our guests. Bush camps in Tanzania are built open-plan, and usually in a way that they do not...

This was the only disappointing stay during our 12 day safari trip. The rooms were fine, beds were comfortable. The shower was less of a shower and more of a series of cold drips, and while I understand we were in a tented camp, a nomadic bush camp we stayed at a few days later had a shower that was...

Dear Jennifer, Thank you for staying with us at Ikoma, and posting your feedback. Regarding your shower, there must have been a problem with the plumbing, or water tank was not completely full and we do apologize if you did not enjoy it.. Marvelous place with great safari atmosphere, very comfortable facilities but mediocre cuisine. No option of less spicy food for kids, the same soup served two evenings, pasta for the lunch box put into ordinary plastic bags. Comparatively to other Tanzanian lodges where we spent the night during our three week tour, Icoma Bush was the less interesting culinary experience. The...

The tents were comfortable with comfortable beds and an attached bathroom. Lights off during the night so flashlight needed if up after 11pm. The food was not great at any meal. The service was fine-the staff tried really hard to please.

Situated just 5km away fro Serengeti entry gate, this camp fullfilled our African dream. Think grassland, and that's what you will find there.
