This a a small and cosy place with amazing views. internet doesn't work in the rooms which kinda makes sense if you trying to get away from the rest of the world. i enjoyed the game drive and the canoe ride. my best part of the trip was the wine and the grape juice which is grown on location

Not far from Harare and off a dust road. which a normal car can drive on, although slightly bumpy. I would suggest that admin arranges for a sign to be placed off the main road to stipulate the distance to reach the venue. Thoroughly enjoyed the day trip and not so pricey. Staff were well mannered and service was great....

Thank you so much for your review and we are delighted that we may have the pleasure of your company again in the future. We have taken note of your comments regarding the signage and I have contacted a few companies to get quotes on putting signs up from the main road. This should be completed in a few weeks...

Went with my wife and two boys for a day trip. Enjoyed a game drive in the morning and horse riding in the afternoon, with lunch in between. Surprisingly tranquil hideout so close to the hustle and bustle of Harare. Totally relaxing atmosphere. Our guide for the game drive (John) was very knowledgeable, friendly and keen to show us the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bushman Rock Safaris is located a mere 40 minutes from Harare City Center. Unique to Zimbabwe it is the only lodge located on a working commercial vineyard and winery. The vineyards are located within a 750 hectare private wildlife reserve with 13 species of plains game released onto the reserve including Buffalo, Giraffe and Zebra. The Bushman Rock Polo Club overlooks the vineyards and with over 20 polo ponies guests are able to watch and even partake in the "sport of kings". The network of thatched lodges lie hidden among tall indigenous trees overlooking the vineyards, lake and out onto the wildlife reserve. Each lodge offers complete privacy and consists of one King bedroom and one Twin bedroom. All king bedrooms having en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers and all twin rooms have en-suite shower rooms with both internal and outdoor showers. Each lodge has a lounge and veranda with tea and coffee facilities and bar fridges. The lounges all have fireplaces making it ideal for cold winter evenings. The rooms are basically appointed with the natural architectural elements such as artistically designed polished concrete floors, exposed local granite stonework and traditional thatching forming the central focus to the rooms. ... more   less
