So the Continental certainly shows its Portuguese heritage. Rooms were fine - the staff are charming, and it felt like a peaceful haven in a bustling city. Absolutely loved the rooftop bar. Again, prices in this city are ridiculous, but with that as a background, this property represents Luanda value for money.

Great hotel located in downtown Luanda, close to Sonangol, and other major government buildings. Pricey as with other nice hotels in Luanda, Gourmet styled restaurant and great staff. Staff speak English and are helpful. Wifi available too. Not a budget hotel.

Flying visit on business. It's not one of the very expensive chrome and glass palaces available in Luanda but for a quick stopover it was perfectly adequate. The plumbing worked fine, walk in shower was a decent size, bed comfortable enough and the air conditioning was up to the task. Check-in/ check-out took forever- partly because they don't take Amex...

Stayed one night and I must say I'm not terribly impressed. If they put as much effort into the rest of the hotel that they put into the Foyer then it'd be a nice place to stay. First impression is good but that's as far as it goes. Bar areas are the absolute bare minimum basics. No décor, bare rooms...

This hotel have very friendly staff! Good lunch buffet and breakfast! Go to see the sunset at the terrace with a nacional coca cola! Well the rooms are ok for the standarts that they have, the big problem for me is the toilet, not so clean as i wish.

The hotel is well located, near the seafront (but far from the Port of Luanda). Service is ok and the staff is very friendly. The day I arrived (very early in the morning) they immediately gave me a room. I went to it, and the room was not very clean and although the bed was done, there was a human...

The Continental is good enough if staying for a couple of nights only. On the positive side, WiFi works well and the food is excellent. On the negative side, the room (321) is dated but sufficiently clean, shower is temperamental and there is only one powerpoint from which you have to charge phones/laptops etc. There is no laundry service after...

For the price that you are paying to stay at this hotel it most definitely doesn't meet expectations. Small and smelly dated rooms, terrible showers (two out of three nights nothing more than a drip would come out), below average breakfast and terrible dinner options (despite everything being $$$), unusable wifi in room, and completely rude staff. Pretty much sums...

Whole city is expensive, extremely expensive and just don't know why. This hotel though had the best Wi Fi in all of Africa, I streamed You Tube all night, It also had US Movie channels for movies which was a pleasant surprise. The Evening Buffet was also very tasty though at that price I would expect it to be. The Pond...

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the years that I have been visiting Angola and I can recommend it as a good if basic hotel. It is well run, the staff are helpful and friendly ( somewhat of a novelty in Angola ) the rooms are comfortable and it has probably one of the nicest bars in town...
