We have many good memories from Mokolodi, back in the 90´s when we lived in Botswana, and also in 2002, when we came back for holiday. So we were very eager to spend some days in the chalets, coming back to Botswana again with the extended family in April. (we were 10 people). But it was not very easy to...

The chalets are on the edge of the dam and each has relative privacy. The chalets are tastefully done. Animals come to the dam to drink and lots of birdlife to be seen around chalets and while driving in the nature reserve. The down side was people who socialised loudly until 12 at night at a nearby chalet. You shouldn't...

We started off our Mokolodi experience with a bush braai. We arrived at 11 and enjoyed welcome drinks. Our team which had 9 people was assigned our own vehicle and we went on an hour long game drive leading us to our bush braai Lunch spot. We saw quite a number of animals which was fun for the kids. Our...

we spend a few nights in the chalet Wildebeest overlooking the watering hole. To get to the chalet site a 4x4 is more than recommended. We stayed a few days and took many gamedrives with our own car and saw almost all the animals had to offer. We took a night game drive with the guides and it was a...

Came for the weekend and the chalet is very nice and overlooks the watering hole which is amazing. Very peaceful and relaxing. Took a game drive and managed to see, amongst other things, a family of rhino which was awesome. Was good price too. Had dinner in the restaurant which is highly recommended. Service was great and food was lovely....

We spent the night in one of the chalets overlooking the dam. A wealth of animals came and went and it was well worth arriving early in the day. The rondavel was well appointed and remarkably well equipped, with a small but good kitchen. The road leading there would require a vehicle with a very high clearance, ideally a 4x4,...

We spent two nights living in a Rondavel overlooking a watering hole. This was a phenomenal experience with strange animal sounds at night and vervet monkeys keeping an eye on us by day. The road from the reserve entrance to the five Rondavels was very rough, rocks and dirt so recommend a four-by-four vehicle with high clearance.

We booked 3 self catering chalets for a friend's 40th birthday. When we arrived, the staff thanked us for coming to the reserve, they were extremely respectful and friendly. We arrived at our chalets which are situated approximately 3.5km away from the reception area. All the chalets are all around a watering hole. "Kudu" is the best chalet to stay...

Mokolodi has both camping and self catering chalets. I prefer the chalets as they are set around a waterhole and you can chill just watching the animals coming to drink. There are three chalets with two rooms and two with one room. The rooms have two double beds in each and a shared toilet/shower room. There is a small kitchen...

Mokolodi was one of the best campsites we stayed in during six weeks in Africa. We drove to the site in a normal car - a Toyota Corolla. The track is very rough and you have to take it slow and carefully, but we made it. We were the only people staying at the campsites. There are "donkey boilers" for...
