I have been in Yaya village five years ago before it became Haile's resort venture and it's completely changed with amazing well organized sports facilities for family. Swimming pool, football field, garden, outdoor cycling, horse riding, room, spa , restaurant, cafe, gym, children playing ground. I am so impressed. There is nothing like quite like it even in Addis Ababa,...

Our Trip to Yaya Village was just a final decision believing that it would be an ordinary place. But once we got there, the place was amazing and the weather was cool. The Rooms were clean, and the Food is good, but the service is abit slow. Main issue was the Swimming Pool Heaters were not working so it was...

The Yaya Village is the famous marathon runner Haile Gebreselassie hotel, training center and restaurant outside Addis Ababa at 8500 feet altitude. The hotel is under expansion so there is some construction going on. The restaurant offers extensive outside seating in a very nice setting. It seems like a preferred place for locals with their families as well as foreigners....

We were a little surprised to return to Yaya and find construction work in progress, however it soon became clear that the guests were the priority and there was no inconvenience at all. The gardens were looking better than ever and we can hardly wait for the track and pool to be finished. It is a very good sign to...

If you are a runner this is the place to go! At roughly 2700 mts (or 8,850ft) above sea level you will get the workout you need for your next marathon. Stay there or visit from Addis in about 40min drive. Food is basic but very decent, coffee is excellent like anywhere in Ethiopia and staff are nice and helpful,...

Very good place for horse riding for children and having a quiet weekend with the family. There is a big football field and volleyball field also. You can walk around the football field with tools for exercising.

We returned to Yaya after over a year and found some amazing changes: the gardens are really beautiful and the quality of the meals and restaurant service have improved a lot. This is a great place for athletes but also for anyone wanting a tranquil setting for dinner to escape the city or unwind before going home. As before the...

We had a special event in January 2015. We had a great experience from the venue to the staff who worked hard to make the event special. It being close to Addis Ababa and yet far enough made our stay more enjoyable. The venue caters for young children really well with designated playground. We can only comment on the traditional...
