We slept so well for five nights at Esther's, we forgot to have jet lag during our work days. It was convenient to the airport (10 minutes) and World Health Organization (walking distance), on a quite side street. The property is small and well kept. The Ghanaian art on the walls is worth more than a few views. Esther and...

I already stayed in Esther’s Hotel in 2014 and never doubted that I would go back, if travelling to Accra again. It is still a great place – most likely the best hotel I have stayed in Africa. I have never met staff which is that friendly and supportive. Thanks a lot! It is a small and relaxed hotel with...

Having lodged at Esther's over the past 10 years I revisited with some colleagues in late September of this year. As ever the rooms were spotless, the service and staff friendliness (some even remembered me!) was as good as ever. I challenge any hotel in Ghana to serve as good a breakfast as you receive in this hotel. Mini bar...

Very convenient - in the airport residential area. Elegant rooms, great service - definitely has the feel of a European guest house. Will definitely stay there on my next trip to Accra. Peacock's wandering the property was an added bonus!!!

Very clean, safe, friendly staff plus owner. Lovely food, at a area where you can get to so many places. Best hotel we've been to hands down, lovely, friendly, clean, polite, safe when going out at night

I have been to Accra many times but this was my first stay at Esther's. It has the atmosphere of a European guest house more than hotel, which was comforting. You are greeted in a friendly manner each time you pass the front desk. Since they request that you leave the room key at the desk each day, they are...

This hotel is one of the best places to stay in Accra. It is very nearby the airport, the rooms are broadly equipped and spick and span. The owner is always around and is very helpful - they changed money for me and organized a new SIM card, for example. The price is a little high, but compared to other...

I may not have struck it lucky here, as other reviews found the staff helpful. I arrived late in the evening and the gent on duty was not very helpful. The hotel is quite pricey (as is most semi-descent accommodation in African cities such as these) at nearly US$ 200 per night. Pluses are that it is close to the...

Hard wood floors, easy to sleep, tropical gardens bedecked with orchids and bougainvillea, charming staff, peacocks strutting around; breakfast options are of both the 'European' and 'great British' variety with good coffee; dinner menu not long but very tasty. Internet works! Overall a pleasant stay and oasis from the Accra traffic

I am staying at Esther's for a second time. The rooms are clean and quiet and the staff are totally wonderful. There is a family feel to the place and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Whatever you need, they seem to arrange. Food here is great but if you want a change...
