I have to been to Guinea several times, but this hotel has been the most comfortable. The rooms are always clean, the food is the best I have had in Conakry. The staff is prompt, friendly and a pleasure to work with. They always accommodate your needs.

I have been in and out of Guinea for the past 10 years. Of all the Hotels the Mariador Palace is the only place we stay. It is one of the Safest places to stay. When things in country turned bad the staff and the owners took our safety seriously. The rooms are always clean and above standard for Guinea....

This hotel is a shame, prices are the one of a 4 Star Hotel, but rooms and style deserve maximum 1 Star. Probably, standard of this country are really low, but wherever in the world, such a price doesn't worth a place like this Rooms are old fashioned and dirty (Check the pictures). Restaurant: Cook and waiter are really nice,...

Grubby: from reception to room, some aspects bordering on dilapidated. Bland food. Terrible service. Intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity, and only at reception area. Overpriced rooms, drinks, food. Did I mention the terrible service? Fairly close to airport. Probably the 2nd best hotel Conakry has to offer. Beautiful pool deck. Review the Riviera Royal before checking in here!

The whole hotel needs to be power washed and new carpet installed. Front desk tries to do a good job, but simply is not the culture to be service driven. Walls and fixtures are dirty, but bed seems clean- BYOPillowcases and bottled water! Internet varies and ultra slow. Value of food and beverage is overpriced. I suppose its forcibly acceptable...

My employer chose to book me into this hotel and the reviews I'd read left me expecting the worst, but to be fair (and after being here only two days!) it doesnt seem as bad as I'd expected. Yes, the catering and service leaves something to be desired and no, the internet doesnt seem to work in the rooms. Guests...

I recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip. I have traveled to Guinea on many occasions, and throughout East and West Africa, and so am very familiar with staying in rough conditions. However, this is the first time a hotel stay actually left me upset. First, I was given a dirty and smelly room, with dirty sheets, used...

MARIADOR PALACE, 4 STAR RATING! (EUROPE Standards of rating) First impressions are good, good infrastructure, then .... it hits you like a brick wall! Had a day staying here while travelling through. Not bad at all, for West Africa...Traffic can be a nightmare so its handy that its closer than the Novotel. In a quiet area, pool, cold beer. The rooms were a little basic, but clean enough, staff were so-so. Had a great view, when the tides out all the locals get down...

“There's apparently another floor - the fifth - being constructed and rooms on the fourth suffer construction noise. Third or lower limits the intrusion. Side-facing rooms might avoid the weekend pool/party noise but you'll lose the ocean and sunset views which are good. Foam earplugs - which should be part of everyone's travel kit along with a sink plug - should do the trick”
RobUganda, 6 Aug 2012 | Read review
“Choose a room overlooking the ocean to the side of the hotel as the pool area can get a bit noisy when they have events organised, and this carries up the hotel rooms on the poolside.”
