I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Trading Post, while in Lesotho, for a Habitat for Humanity build trip. The country and region are very poor, but the people are very friendly. While at the trading post, I found that the staff worked incredibly hard, and were so friendly. They really wanted to make sure that everyone has...

Great experience, very helpful staff and overall 5 stars for accommodation and the variety of adventures in and around Roma. Went mountain biking, horse riding and got good advice on 4x4 routes in the country. Roma is a most-do for anyone who seeks to explore Lesotho, off the beaten track.

This place could be a lot better than it is.The rondavel was fine, if a little rundown and old-fashioned. There was a fridge in the room which was good. The bath/shower were clean but a bit tatty and everything just looked past its best. The breakfast was OK, but was already sitting on the hotplate so the eggs were overdone,...

Firstly, the good. I emailed the owner to book a bed in a backpacker room. When I arrived 4 days later, I was upgraded to a nice ensuite twin room as the backpacker rooms were full, at the same price. The place is quiet and set in lovely gardens. However, a new manager was just starting and things were very...

Dear Mark, Thanks for taking time to review the Lodge, we appreciate the input. Thanks for brining light to the Mosquito problem. I shall bring it up with the team and see how best to deal with it. Putting hooks in is a good suggestion. Ideally everyone should get a net. Having just taken over the lodge we are addressing...

I love spending time at the Roma Trading Post. The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are spacious and cosy. I love the comfortable beds with matching linens, and the coffee and tea maker in each room.

We arrived in Roma after a long day of driving and were happy to see the accommodation, it looked nice from the outside. We booked a dormitory, which turned out to be a double room with shared facilities (yay). The original price was 175 a person, but this was changed to 200 a person due to recent changes - which...

There are various types of accommodation available. It reminds me of old school farm life. Clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Great place for families - even small children will feel welcome.

We stayed here for several nights a few years ago. It was good then but it continues to improve. We were given a very warm welcome and the staff were very helpful and did everything with a genuine smile. However, it is still not the easiest place to park or more precisely reverse out of. . Our rondo was large...

We have wanted to visit Lesotho for a long time as I am a handweaver and I wanted to see the tapestry weaving. My husband loves hiking and walking. We had never visited Lesotho before and after some research decided that Maseru did not sound so appealing to us but the Trading Post Lodge at Roma did. We made a...
