First off, please note that my reviews are from a budget-conscious perspective (that is, my rating is intimately connected to the cost of this hotel).

For ~$25 USD a night for a single room, this is a very safe and comfortable hotel in Tana. The wifi works (the best one can hope for), but hardly ever does the signal reach the interior of the rooms. This is not a concern for me, as I can just sit downstairs in the lobby or dining area. The rooms are clean and the showers are hot. Breakfast is included in the cost (tea or coffee, juice, bread, butter, and jam) and a restaurant ensures that you won't go hungry.

The staff can understand some english (some better than others) and I never had a problem communicating my needs (Taxi arrangements, advice, etc.). The rooms are fairly spacious and include a lockable safe. If you get a room on the 3rd or 4th floor at the back of the hotel (which have walkout balconies) then you will be treated to a fantastic view of the...

For budget travel - either vacation or business, this hotel is priced very well. We had 2 different stays over total of 3 nights. A decent location with easy access to city center. Free Wifi (good relatively strong connection that connected in our first floor room(s)). Rooms are spacious, clean, with small desk & hot water. Rooms facing street may experience noise into evening and early morning, but not unbearable. Hotel management was responsive to our booking and arranging airport pick-up. Reception staff on arrival was friendly and very helpful. Restaurant food was decent quality & comparably inexpensive. Restaurant service is poor at best (be wary of what to expect as this is common in many budget hotels in sub-Sahara Africa - lack of service training & generally very unmotivated staff). We had to get our own cutlery, after food arrived and asking twice. More
