It is a great place to have a coffee in the afternoon or to eat with friends. The location is in the old city of Tana and the view is great as you can see all the city. Sunset is wonderful. The lady owner is really nice and the food is outstanding. I do not know about the rooms, I...

The Lokanga is a small hotel, only 6 rooms, situated high up on a hill right next to the Queen's Palace. It offers breath-taking views accross the city of Antananarivo and has a very good kitchen. We stayed there for a couple of nights on leaving Mada and were extremely happy with the staff, the service and the food. A...

This is real find. An old house perched in Haute-Ville near the Queen's Palace with jaw dropping views over the city and surrounding countryside. The rooms are spacious, some with their own (shared) terraces. The breakfast is great and staff super friendly and helpful.

This hotel is located in the historic part of the city in Haute Ville and is away from all of the noise of Basse Ville. The five rooms are all different and decorated with antiques. Very comfortable beds. Good wifi. There is a large balcony which is great for having drinks and watching the sunsets or for other meals. Breakfast...

My friend and I stayed at Lokanga for 3 nights and made it our base hotel for our holiday in Madagascar. The hotel is beautiful and feels like a home away from home. The unique design in each room, attention to detail, cleanliness and service make this an outstanding hotel by any standard, not just compared to local hotels. The...

We stayed here on 2 separate nights during our Madagascar trip in July 2015. We used the hotel as a base for us when we passed through Tana during our trip and never regretted it. Staffs were very friendly and extremely helpful. They were always there to help regardless of the time. When we had to check-out at 3am in...

Those running the hotel are friendly, courtious, and very accomodating...working hard to make our stay wonderful. We loved our stay at Lokanga, a period building with a history that alone is worth the stay! The staff was extremely polite and helpful, as well as the owner who's always around making sure the guests are feeling at home in Tana. Our room was spacious and comfortable and included the bathroom in the same space. Not ideal if...

This was our base hotel as we passed through Tana 3 times over our trip with Imagine Africa. The staff were welcoming and seemed excited to hear how we had enjoyed our adventures. They were also very generous to store some things for us when we had to take a small charter that didn't allow all of our baggage. The...

Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a drink which was nice and then escorted to the "baroque" suite. To our surprise we realized that the bath was in the same space as the bed with clear separation, more disturbingly, so was the toilet, hiding behind a vintage screen.... Lovely setting for a romantic stay, not! Fortunately, other rooms offer more...

Dear Guest Thanks for your remarks. For the stains on the towels, we are deeply sorry : indeed we had towels with sun tan oil which tired out to be impossible to wash away; they should never have been put back in a room. We did change all the towels of your room as soon as we realized that; Measures...
