Zaza & I were so happy to meet Aina and hear the history of her amazing house and to enjoy her company and delicious food. Aina's place is an absolute gem in the middle of the city with lovely garden and beautifly artistic finishes all over. Loved the bathrooms and mosaic tiles especially. I felt so inspired. I will be back for sure & meanwhile will be an ambassador to send people to her.

This was my second stay at Chez Aina. In fact, Aina's hospitality during my first trip was part of what inspired me to come back to Madagascar for a second time. Her BnB genuinely feels like a second home - the hues are warm, the design both rustic + inviting, and the ambiance is one of safety and comfort. I am grateful to have been welcomed into this space and am eagerly awaiting my third visit soon!

Chez Aina has been a suggestion of my colleagues when moving to Tana I didn’t have a house and need to search for one. I could not be any happier and thankful for the advice! Chez Aina is positioned in the city center. Next to it there’s a supermarket, a taxi stop and other shops so the area is populated and not remote. Mostly all taxi knows the place so it’s difficult to get lost. It gives you the impression of being in someone’s really well decorating house. The building is an old Malagasy house and everything from electricity to water was working without any problem. Aina has a super good formula of “Demi pension” for only 12 euros per day that includes a good breakfast with home made bread and fresh fruits and dinner or lunch. The guest can organise with the staff what time he/she prefers to eat and if he/she has any allergies they take care of that too. The cook is Malagasy so the the guest will taste some very good Malagasy plate but also some others revised. The maison d’hote has also seen a lot of travellers so it’s easy to ask for advice and helps to the staff. Anyways, as I was really new to Madagascar I thank all Aina’s staff including Franky and Maëlle that didn’t make me feel alone from the beginning to the end of my stay! Recommended 100%

We really liked this place a lot! The atmosphere of the nice house is so charming, welcoming, nice, historical, safe, beautiful and positive! It was the perfect location for us in Tana to explore the city. Aina has been a really wonderful host and very easy going and very helpful. She organized everything perfectly for us from check-in/-out, organizing pick-up/drop off at the airport, cooking excellent food etc. and made our trip in Tana very nice and easy. Thank you Aina for your great support!! Stay as you are! You have been one of our greatest hosts in Madagascar!

A big thank you for your warm feedback!..... because beyond the services we offer and that we try to maintain as well as possible with much care and love, it is the exchanges and sharing of good moments with you who are adorable people that are the most important.... We stayed at Chez Aina twice during our trip and we fell in love with the tranquility and cosiness of the place. The B&B feels like a home away from home, including family style dinners with all the guests eating at the same table (causing us to meet very interesting people). Aina is very hospitable and friendly: always willing to help and she has great tips on where to eat or what sights to visit in Tana. We had a very late flight out of Tana, but we could leave our bagage in the B&B and stay there until we had to catch the taxi to the airport. We enjoyed our stay!

I stayed twice at Chez Aina - first of all after arriving in Madagascar, then again three weeks into my trip. It’s a wonderful place, full of character. Aina is an exceptional host; she’s one of those people for whom it’s totally natural and effortless. The support staff are lovely. Communal meals are great. You don’t get a choice, but you will definitely get something tasty. I had the same room each time. Very comfortable. Bathroom was in the room next door, but private. WiFi was very good, working just as well up in my room as downstairs. Chez Aina seems to appeal in part, in my experience at least, to longer term guests. Pretty much everyone there seemed to be there for a while. Probably because it feels so homely! I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tana. You’ll be made to feel very very welcome. A couple of caveats: - Although it’s down a very quiet side road, I don’t think the location in Tana as a whole is the best; it would also be fiendishly difficult to find on your own first time! - I’d arranged a transfer from the airport for my first visit, but the driver didn’t show up. This wasn’t really a problem as there were plenty of cabs and it’s a fairly well organised system. - Try as I might, I couldn’t get any hot water. I waited for what seemed like forever. Maybe I didn’t wait for long enough?

Thank you for your lovely comment. Everything becomes easy when the majority of the people who choose to come to the Guest House Chez Aina are mostly exceptional and adorable people... Maybe chance does things right, some would say. My small team and I give care and a lot of love to make your stay pleasant but the reciprocity is true so thank you.

This is a lovely and unique guesthouse in boutique hotel style designed with love and care, a beautiful little garden, cats, kittens and turtles (and huge spiders but in safe distance!!). The owner is friendly and helpful and staff and kind (although we sometimes had a few little communication issues in French). The rooms are very cozy, well furnished and clean. The only issue is with the open-ceiling bathrooms which do not prevent toilet odors from spreading in the room. The guesthouse is near the city center and walking distance from the Central Railway Station.

In my case it was very close to the place of work, and in Tana it means avoiding hours of traffic. Owner and staff kind and careful, ambient is very comfortable, from the day one i felt “at home”. Spacious rooms, quiet neighborhood, very good food, breakfast and dinner prepared with care, all local ingredients. Every moment spent was beautiful to share with other guests and houses staff. Definitely place to visit if traveling to Tana!

We stayed here in the beginning and in the end of our trip. Aina and her staff are super! They make sure you will have a warm welcome and the food is delicious. The room looks clean and looks like you are in a normal house instead of in a hotel. The living room is a nice place to sit down and relax. I would really recommend this place to other travelers :)
