The owners are very very very friendly and accomodate to your needs. I had to leave for the airport at six and they made sure I had breakfast, including fried eggs, at 5:30 am. They gave us free Wifi cards, which would have cost 1200 MK each normally. If you want a cozy place with friendly people, this is the...

Marinus and Bev are the kindest couple to greet you after a series of long red-eyes into the country. Cluny Lodge is tucked away from the main streets, allowing for a peaceful sleep with lots of birds to watch frolick in the front yard fountain if you wake early enough. Breakfast is fast, large and delicious. All the employees are...

My husband and I just completed a 10 day stay at Cluny Lodge. The accommodations were great and very quiet. They have such a lovely garden setting. It was so peaceful to sit out on the porch or in the spacious shared living room. We stayed in the suite which had its own living room as well. The food was...

Having traveled in Africa and worked out in the bush, coming back to Cluny Lodge was a god send! The rooms are very comfortable and the food and service were great. Bev and Marinus are the best and make you feel like family. Having picked up a bug of somesort working out in the field, it was great to come...

Cluny Lodge is a generous and comfortable guest house with good food and good company. The rooms are large and clean and the veranda and living rooms generous. There is even a small gym. Home-cooked meals each night were a highlight. I don't recommend doing this but I left my valuables in my room as I was flying out to...

Bev and Marinus were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Marinus gave us restaurant recommendations, taxi numbers and general information. We ate at the loge and their three course meal was fantastic, including home made banoffee pie! The breakfast included cereals, toast, yogurt, fruit etc as well as custom made cooked options. They have a number of guards...

Bev and Marinus are such wonderful people who go out of their way to make my stay such a success each year. The lodge attracts like minded people involved in interesting projects, which makes...

I stayed with Marinus and Bev for a week at the end of April 2015 whilst working in Lilongwe and I can't recommend this lodge enough. I felt totally at home, secure and well looked after for my whole week. The rooms were clean, comfortable and homely and the staff were all friendly and attentive. I'll most definitely stay here...

Probably the best place I've stayed ever, which is why I keep coming back. 1. The service is the best with this place. I have, arguably, never experienced the level of excellence in service as I have at Cluny's. Since they'll step up and fix any problem you may encounter, it is hard to give examples. The list would be way...
