We spend a couple of nigths here, and the place offers free airport pickup which was a very nice service, but on the other hand the service at the reception was very bad, so sadly not more than average in total... Dorm was alright, but with big lockable cabinets.

I stayed in my own room with ensuite. Very basic but good value for what you pay. Safe and comfortable with friendly staff. I tried booking via an email and never got a response (dive company did it for me in the end).. the complimentary bus service didn't turn up which was pretty frustrating.

Great place, warm welcome and easy to find. we spent a night with friends and we loved the treatment and the fact that it was clean.. it is also in the main street which makes it easy to reach the beach without much hustle.

We arrived late into Maputo after a long drive down from their sister hostel in Tofo. We were shown to a room which was effectively a 4 bed dorm. The price we were charged was 4000 meticals per night (August 2016 = $53 per night) The management (on checkout) produced a laminated sheet listing prices for accommodation where there was...

I visited this backpackers in July and August 2016. It's a small, nice place close to the city center, but the atmosphere is quite strange. The staff is questioning every concern you have, so you have to discuss really everything (change, payment, dorm beed, food etc.) which makes a stay very inconvenient. Additionally, they also have a very untransparent price...

Overpriced guesthouse with very very unfriendly staff. We had to wait three hours for food. Only positive point is the courtyard. Don't go there it's very poor value for money! Don't waste your time here!

Pros: clean and bright dorms, welcoming staff, hot shower Cons: wifi only between 7pm and 5am (and it didn't work when I was there...) - why??? And only one charge socket in each room I chose this hostel because they had a daily shuttle to Tofu, so it was very convenient. Nice common area. The food was average, I would...

I stayed 6 nights in this hostel of Maputo while I was travelling in Southern Africa. I was supposed to be picked up at the bus station when I arrived from Durban, South Africa (because that is what they promised) but nobody was there... Most of the people who work in the hostel seemed pissed off when I asked something...

I had a great time at Fatima's Place. I really don't know why such bad reviews. I stayed one night in a private room and since they weren't very busy, I was given quite a large en-suite room (a double and a bunk bed) called "The Elephant" all to myself. The room was simple but spacious. The common grounds are...
