The Hotel is a former Ibis Hotel, which needs left and right some retouching. When in town for a clean bed and shower, you found the right place. The breakfast is nothing much but lunch and dinner are good. Outside terrace to accomodate smokers. On the entrance heartwarming streetsellers, varying from phones, paintings, jewelry, for who wants it. Unclear wifi,... More

I stayed at the Turismo for 3 days in November 2013. The room was dirty (stains everywhere, hair on bathroom floor, large chips of paint off walls) and I had to go beg for toilet paper at the reception desk. Internet access didn't work despite being advertised on the website. Breakfast was dry slices of bread and miniature buns served... More

After having read all these comments on Tripadvisor I was not very happy that I would have to stay 2 weeks in this hotel. The first impression was not good as the people at the reception seemed unfriendly and a little ignorant. However during the following days they turned out to be more helpful. The room was ok, not very... More

This is a lousy hotel. The rooms are barely equipped, everything is run down and looks cheap and worn out. You do not feel like spending any time in those rooms. Service is bad. I had promblems with the room safe and it took them ages to send people for repair while they pretended that somebody would be coming any... More

Great location in central Maputo walking distance from restaurants and shopping. All accommodation is pricey in Maputo, so while this would be expensive anywhere else, it's budget for here. I was booked in by my company and after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor II packed an extra towel and tolietpaper and prepared for the worst. But it was perfectly fine.... More

This hotel is an economy & and adequate hotel. it is clean but functional. The facilities are basic. Our stay was over three days but we were there on business, so, we only used the hotel for overnight accommodation & breakfast.

I read all the reviews and was appalled and frightened at the fact that there was nowhere else to stay. I stayed in room 418 and was delighted with the cleanliness and basic offering which after reading the reviews was a pleasant surprise. The room is huge with a comfortable queen sized bed which if compared to the similarly priced... More

“Ask for a room at the streetside, as otherwise you will be facing a lot of concrete”

“Do not choose a room on the 10th floor. There is a fault with one of the (two) lifts and it does not accept the 10th floor. Also, the lifts are very slow and whilst certified for 8 persons, are restricted to 4 persons. The breakfast is adequate but basic, drinks are very expensive with a small bottle of local beer costing $5.00.”
