My wife and I stayed at the Elegant Guesthouse in Windhoek at the start of our safari in Namibia. The guesthouse is well-secured and beautiful. The courtyard has a zen garden feel to it and the furniture is very nice in the rooms. The pool is small but clean and it is very relaxing to simply lounge at the poolside....

We stayed here at the start of our trip to Namibia, after a long flight and 2 hours arguing with Avis at the airport. The Elegant Guest house was like an oasis after the journey and spot on in everything it did. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, the food really good, and suggestions as to where to shop...

I stayed at the elegant guesthouse for a couple of nights in March. The guesthouse is furnished and landscaped in a modern style and is very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. The only downside is the apparent need to avoid walking through a nearby district to go into town and the resultant...

We stayed here for one night at the start of our trip and one at the end. We though it was great. \the staff are cheerful and very helpful. The rooms were clean and reasonable size. There is good security. Breakfast is excellent. There is a good 'honesty bar'. Staff do offer a lot of safety warnings and will book...

Windhoek was disappointing s a city but this guest house isn't. Staff are charming and helpful, breakfast is delicious and it's a good place to stay while visiting the capital. There's a small pool and nice lounge and although it's about a 10-15 min walk to the centre staff are quick to encourage use of a taxi and certainly after...

I must admit that I was taken in by this guesthouse's good reviews on TripAdvisor and Booking.com. However, I must have caught them on a bad weekend or something because that was not my experience at all. First of all, they FORGOT me at the airport. Yes, that's right. I had arranged with them to collect me from the airport,...

The first thing to say to anyone planning a visit to Windhoek is that a single night will probably be sufficient to enjoy the city's highlights. Use it as a stopping-off point on your arrival into (or departure from) Windhoek - but then head out to enjoy the much greater attractions on offer elsewhere in Namibia. The Elegant Guesthouse makes...

We stayed here for one night as were were connecting to a flight in the morning. The rooms were clean, air con decent and it was perfectly sufficient for somewhere to stay for a night (or 2 if have a packed itinerary). The lack of amenities means you wouldn't want to stat here for an extended period of time. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In a quiet street at the heart of one of the city's sleepiest neighborhoods, The Elegant Collection have a fashioned guesthouse which places its architectural and decorative accent on elegance and comfort of the most contemporary kind. The Elegant Guesthouse has a light, breezy and welcoming feel thanks to the open plan design and extensive windows: the single-storied architecture reflects the city's colonial (and recent) past. Clipped green lawns, sparkling pool, impeccably manicured guest rooms and cheerfully attentive staff help ensure that from the moment you arrive you feel a delicious sense of Dulce Domum - even though the wild beauty of the African veld is just miles from your door. The 6 garden and courtyard facing bedrooms are light, functional and imbued with contemporary, angular good looks. They have great mattresses of the firm-yet-pliant variety and these are matched by top-of-the-range bed linen.Expect a full quotient of gadgetry: TV (discreetly tucked away in a cabinet in most rooms), WiFi internet connection, telephone, hairdryer, safe and a hot and cold air-conditioning unit. ... more   less
