As the last stop of our two months trip in Africa, I really appreciated the powerful shower and crisp bedding in our room. It is located in a peaceful corner of Windhoek. The deco is simple and cool. We had our dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It is a small menu but food quality adequate. It was struggling... More

After traveling through Namibia for nearly two weeks, we spent our last night in Windhoek at Olive Grove Guest House. The proximity of the B&B to the center of the city allowed us to walk (which we much prefer to taking taxis) to the gardens, various landmarks, and the Namibia Craft Centre. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with a... More

We spent our first night in Namibia here, and are a family group of 5 and had 3 rooms booked. All three rooms were big and well equipped, as seemed fairly common in Namibia a lot of the bathroom (and bedroom) furniture was made of polished concrete, seemed weird at the time, but OK. We ate out as Joes Beerhouse,... More

We stayed here on our first night in Namibia; the location is close to the City centre and handy for local attractions like Joe's beerhouse. The room was a good size and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful; we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was freshly prepared and vert tasty.

We had a one night stopover in Windhoek on rout back from a awesome 3 week road trip through Namabia and out of all the places we picked to stay this was by far the most disappointing. The room loosed much nicer on the website. The parking was a problem as they were full and it was a struggle to... More

Dear V0njac Thank you for the review, its always great to hear people enjoyed Namibia. I am sorry to hear your stay at Olive Grove was not equally enjoyable and that the rooms did not live up to your expectations. Thank you for the note on the breakfast packs, we will look into this. Kind regrads The Olive Grove Team More

We stayed at the Olive Grove guesthouse on our first night in Namibia and were very pleased with the beautiful rooms and the high standard of service. We dined at the restaurant and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast on the terrace was also excellent and the staff kindly provided warm rugs for our knees in the chilly... More

Wonderful stay, friendly, helpful staff. Great location with excellent secure parking. Excellent food. Huge beds, stylish bathrooms and extra touches i.e. little decanters of port and chocolate left in our rooms in the evening.

We arrived early so relaxed (after hectic 2 week trip round Namibia) in the shade by the pool before exploring our beautiful room. The only room available when we were booking was the Executive room, glad we booked it as it a gem, worth the money! All the staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. Wish we... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Olive Grove is a small upmarket accommodation establishment situated close to the city center in a quiet, peaceful area. The guesthouse takes homely atmosphere to a different level. Recently completely refurbished, each room has been decorated and painted with new colour schemes allowing a different feel, but with the same elegant and simplistic emphasis on decor. The open-plan kitchen allows guests to see how meals are prepared, while they enjoy a drink in the lounge. The menu was also reinvented and is now fully a la carte, quite unique for a guesthouse. Home-style food is rounded off with great presentation, pushing up the level of the guesthouse dining experience. Whilst each of the eleven rooms and one suite cater for every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. ... more   less
