All in all a good start to our travels in Rwanda. Auberge la Caverne is not a 4* hotel so don't expect 4* rooms or facilities! If you are after a small, privately owned lodging which offers a good service on a limited budget then this is a good choice. Probably ideal if you are stopping in Kigali for one...

the location in central kigali is the only thing going for this place. the staff were rude and very unhelpful and the rooms were shabby at best. we definitely did not feel safe leaving any important belongings in the room. we were not given a checkout time and the hotel was empty but they tried to charge us for another...

The place is in a pretty good location and the breakfast is good but the place is riddled with bed bugs / fleas. While we were there both of my friends were eaten alive and several of the other guests complained about the same. The reaction of the staff was really not what we had hoped, we had pointed the...

A small hotel in a great location. We stayed one night and found it to be clean and very adequate. There was hot water and a good breakfast in the morning. We had a little porch that overlooked part of the city. Within walking distance of the center roundabout in Kigali. Great value and would recommend it.

near city center. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant is very good with quality affordable meals with a good drink selection. The rooms are average, but affordable. There seems to be a myth that they have hot water, but everything else was good. Not the best place in Kigali, but an excellent budget choice, and primarily it's in...

Helpful staff, pretty good location fairly near the centre of town. Let us leave a bag when we went to Kibuye for a few days. Nothing fancy, though.

Small rooms, hot and lots of mosquitos, no fan. Not the nicest stay.

We stayed at this little Auberge a couple of times and it is fantastic value for money in Kigali (which is hard to find). It is cheap, shabby and rundown - and it in this context that I give it an excellent rating. It is clean, safe and has all the essentials - hot water (we had to ask a...

A good central location and excellent value (for Kigali, which isn't cheap by any means) are the main advantages of this guesthouse just off the main road between Nyabugogo bus station and the centre of town. It's only about five minutes' walk to Place de l'Unite National, which is basically the beginning of the dead centre of Kigali. The rooms...
