We were sad to only stay one night. It is a beautiful property and the rooms are well-appointed. There are birds in the trees on the property and great views of the city.
Good food, good service, good beds, nice pool, beautiful rooms...
We stayed here on the first night of our incredible holiday in Rwanda and Uganda. We arrived late due to a frustrating long process at passport control at the airport so went straight to our rooms. The rooms were clean and adequate. Sadly my air...More

Very good place very close to the city center. For a reasonable price you get a huge room with plenty of space, a spatious toilet and even a living room with comfortable sofas. Great service and staff at the reception always ready to help.More

Breakfast is included with lodging. It is a typical East African small buffet with eggs made to order with potatoes, grilled tomato, and/or beans on the side. Fruit cup was excellent. There seemed to be one menu for both lunch and dinner, prices I think were in the $10 - $12 range. Limited menu, best item was the fish. It is convenient and quick to eat at the lodging restaurant. But you can get a more interesting meal if you have time to eat elsewhere and a recommendation for a good restaurant. We walked to Zen restaurant for dinner, see separate review.

I don't remember individual room rates for our 3-week trip throughout Rwanda and Tanzania as everything was paid for in advance. Highly recommend Flame Tree -- quiet, nice neighborhood, good food, great service, clean rooms.

"Rooms 1 & 2 view towards city, closest to dining, and were quiet. Furnishings fine"
